People are overrating this season imo. It’s been good, but it’s not great. Every episode there is a narrative of a David looking for an immunity idol and finding one, or a clue, or an advantage. It’s happened like every episode and it’s got boring! I don’t understand why women don’t look for idols? As it was mentioned the static was something like 20% women, and about 10 men have found things this season so it will have plummeted further

Alison is visible though to be fair, and so was John. Usually there’s someone completely invisible who gets this far. The edit has been reasonably balanced for survivor.

Same but I can't help but think about it and try to predict lately on recent seasons (including Big Brother). :laugh: Especially when no one actually knows what's going to happen (I never check spoilers when they're revealed) and as far as I know, it doesn't seem like anyone definitely knows who's going to win or what's going to happen this season.


Which reminds me, why are some seasons spoiled online and others aren't? Does it just have to do with the cast and what they reveal to others that gets out on the internet?

Feel compelled to make a hate post about DAVIE, who probably has a decent enough personality on his own but he really just highlights the worst of it on the show. I don't need any of this "well we just had a HUGE blindside but I hope we don't take any of it personally because it's just a game :)" **** that he brought after I think John's (?) boot, and I *REALLY* couldn't stand his confessional after the Carl boot where he was like "Christian lied to me about the vote BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, IT'S A GAME SO I DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY AND I DON'T HOLD IT AGAINST HIM :)" like....... not only is that attitude extremely boring and one of the worst parts of seasons like MvGX, it's just ****ing stupid and bad gameplay?

And then I was *almost* #TeamDavie again when he was plotting against Nick (well, at least as much of #TeamDavie as one can be, I don't think it's humanly possible), but then he completely backtracked in the eleventh hour and just ruined everything. He SUCKS and I think he's the worst one left for me, easily.

Oh, and then as for winners...... edgic is a complete mess this season because nobody really has a *true* winner's edit. I was flipping back and forth between Christian and Kara every episode of the post-merge, but then Christian went home and my #KaraKonfidence has considerably waned. Everything she had going for her came to a screeching halt after the Dan boot and she hasn't really picked up any other storylines and she's been too MOR for my liking.

Then you have someone like Nick, who logically has the most likely path to victory but his edit really isn't that great either? He has that classic runner-up edit where he starts off WAY too complex in the pre-merge and then his edit kinda fizzles out post-merge. It really gives me vibes of FTC losers like Monica Culpepper, Domenick, Ken, etc. Davie's edit looks good at times but it's entirely proportional to how many advantages he holds, and Mike's edgic strip is passable but the substance of his edit is pretty empty and hollow. And then Alison is obviously not winning and Angelina sadly is not either. I'm like... 40% Kara, 35% Nick, 15% Mike, 10% Davie.

Seriously I don't see what's wrong with any of this or Davie in general. :joker: He's been a FUN gameplayer, like he's definitely not monotone in his actions and confessionals, he's had good energy, and he just understands it's a game when it comes down to it. I know for some reason certain people don't like the "don't take it personal" "it's just a game" mentality but idk where/when/how that became a bad thing. I also can't see him as anything other than a really pleasant viewing experience that had a bit of his own unique style and charisma to it all. :shrug:

And he's been nice, funny, upbeat, extremely willing to play the game and make his own moves, yet a relatively smart (lowkey) player at the same time. I love his character traits and what he's brought to this season. :clap1: On top of everything his edit and screen time has been super balanced as I'd say he was one of those mid-tier visibility characters.

The season all in all was a good one though :clap1: Not sure where I rank it among the recent seasons or overall but I'll let it sink it. It's fairly high really, it was an enjoyable season for the majority of it. :thumbs:

I mean *I guess* he probably played a decent enough social game that just happens to come across as slimy and inauthentic when televised, but the edit didn't really show us much of a tangible game? Like, the main attributes to his game that we saw were him making a **** ton of cheesy alliances that he would name in a lame effort to make Good TV, and then going on a scavenger hunt every third morning for a rehidden HII. And, again, I guess that coupled with being a str8 white dude is all it takes for you to win Survivor in 2018 and that's more of a reflection of the state of this show than anything else, but it's still sad to think about what the show has devolved into.

I don't know, it's the same thing as Adam winning MvGX where even if he deserved to win, the show and its fanbase are lauding his victory for the entirely wrong reasons.

Nick struggling to get himself to final 3 is soo tasty. I don't know what he thought would happen when the numbers were 5-5 and he willingly targeted the David's with Mike and Angelina. I get that he was mad and Gabby was pulling shenanigans, but I think things would have developed differently if Nick had taken the Davie approach to things, and just understand that Gabby shot her shot at somebody who was trying to exclude her from her own alliance. I think that if he'd been a bit more diplomatic about it, Gabby might've waited a little longer to get Christian out. But I guess it didn't really matter anyway.

Really did wish Kara and Nick had taken the chance to get Mike out. Kara said she didn't wanna give Angelina the satisfaction of playing an idol correctly, but it wasn't about playing the idol correctly it was about the spectacle. Angelina still got what she wanted when the jury saw Alison play her fake idol. Plus I low-key haven't liked Mike for quite a while. Ever since he made a comment about Carl and Davie not being smart enough to make a move, it left me feeling off about him. Really thought he'd bitched himself outta the game when he told Kara about Angelina's idol. Basically told Kara that Mike and Alison were Kara's only choices

I have ADORED this season, but the ending just wasn't it.

In the run up to the 6th place vote-off, it was kinda obvious Davie was going... The Angelina hilarious idol search, and Alison's content made me believe they actually were in with a shot at winning?
