I'm interested in what she'll wear as fashion is loosely related to my business.

Other than that her family seems delightfully controversial, perched for her sister showing up with a banner about not being invited or something.

I think he did that on purpose, he doesn't look like the sort who would want to be anyway near the Royals, must have been a nightmare for him as he is virtually a recluse, that said she had to ask him as it would look bad on her ,but this way everyone's happy.... wouldn't surprise me if it was set up so he could avoid the nuptuals.

around the Royal wedding has taken another turn as members of Meghan Markle's extended family have arrived in London with seemingly no invite to the big day.*
A day after the bride-to-be's father was reported to have pulled out of the ceremony, her nephews' arrival with their mother heaps more embarrassment on the American actress, 36.
Tracy Dooley - who was married to and had children with Meghan Markle's half-brother*Thomas Markle Jr - was pictured at Heathrow Airport with sons Tyler, 25,*and Thomas, 26.
Ms Dooley*has previously told ITV's Good Morning Britain she had not received an invitation to the ceremony at Windsor Castle on Saturday, admitting she had not seen Ms Markle for 20 years.
She is expected to cover the event for an American broadcasting network and said she "will be in the front row cheering them on" in Windsor.
The Dooleys took to Facebook to announce their presence in the capital on Monday evening.

This is how some of my in-laws must have felt when I joined the family out of no where... "Who is she??".

To be fair, they treated my husband like mud too. Was kind of weird how some of his siblings felt so territorial over him, but they never really socialized with him... (edit) I'm reminded of that because that's how the royal fever feels to me... like people are so territorial over a man they don't truly know.

I think Harry can marry whoever he wants... they would probably crow less though if he were to have an extramarital affair... "oh he's a royal... just like his dad"... because that's to be expected. There's that sexism as well. Isn't that what used to happen though? It wouldn't have been a big deal in the ye olde times for the husband to have just kept a long-term mistress on the side, while married to actual royal material that kept the family line following royal canon. Now, not only is it harder to keep most women happy with that kind of arrangement (because individualism and women's rights)... but with cameras and such, kind of difficult for any of them to keep a mistress.. a serious one anyway.

Celebrity sucks balls.

I think so too. Especially if it had some "notoriety" to it. It's a relatively fragile item, so probably not many people will think to "preserve" it.

I remember reading years ago how certain cheap toys of poor Victorian children were now very valuable in comparison to the toys of the more 'well-off' Victorian children for the simple reason of rarity.

Not many survived because despite being mass-produced because they were often of inferior quality and being bought for poor children meant that such toys were not only well-played with but also roughly handled and often passed around and from sibling to sibling.

By contrast, the toys of the Victorian middle-class children were more expensive to purchase, more robust being better quality and were 'handled' more 'respectfully and much less frequently so more survived.

With the items which you posted Maru, in addition to the reasons which you cite, anti-Monarchy sentiments are increasing generation by generation so one day when the Monarchy is abolished they may well be relatively valuable.

I bought one of the last copies of 'The News of The World' - a UK 'rag' and immediately wrapped it unopened and 'put it away', ditto several bin-bags of unopened McDonalds 'free' toys, and many 'First Editions' of unopened new books, because hopefully, one day my great grandchildren or their children might capitalise on some future value as 'Collectors' items.

If only (there go the two saddest words in the English language again: laugh:) MY great, great grandparents had been blessed with foresight.
