I've watched 7 eps and I'm finding some of the acting atrocious, particularly Michael Halls

Widowed surgeon Tom has struggled to raise his two daughters alone following his wife's death a year ago. Things seem to be on the right track for the family, who live in a gated community, because they have close friends nearby and Tom is in the early stages of a new relationship. But the situation takes a turn for the worse when Jenny, Tom's oldest daughter, goes missing along with her boyfriend. Tom enlists girlfriend Sophie, a police detective, to help locate the teens, but her new partner is working her own agenda. As the investigation intensifies, Tom unearths dark secrets about the people closest to him in his affluent neighborhood. The drama series was created by mystery novelist Harlan Coben.

I thought it all tied together pretty well, the only thing that wasn’t explained was why the plant pot was moved :joker:
And I worked it out in ep 7 too :amazed:

Watched the first episode last night and it just seems really... cheaply made and badly acted?

Yeah it doesn't help some of the actors are people I haven't seen in anything since... Footballers' Wives  but my biggest gripe is with the editing, it's really hard to place what's wrong with it but it feels like scenes just get rushed, and every cliche "suspicious character looks suspicious" cutaway gets really irritating. The flashback at the start of E2 of the entire "Michael C Hall (forget the character name, lol) asks the parents of the party-girl what happened" scene was really frustrating, too. Literally the entire scene cut and copied, rather than abbreviated

I'm Laila Rouass casually taking a dip in the pool we found a body in.

That whole family ruin it tbh, the tone of the show is completely different whenever scenes with them appear. Not anything wrong with them per se but they're just weird little bursts of comedy and I'm not sure if they're intentional.

Smacking the delivery man with a wine bottle HAD to be comedy.

Anyway I think I'm up to episode 6 now so I'll go with my final guess of:
Detective lady's son killed Chris because he's a gay who wanted his weewee and got rejected
i watched about 20 mins and gave up, i thought it was crap
