I am about half way through season 2 of this show. Season 1 was great, the housemates felt quite natural (unlike that playboy bird's tits) and the presence of the dapper ex-pro footballer made the whole thing quite a manly stuff, even if Hulk did look a bit like Eddie Izzard. But then, having obtained proof of concept in Season 1, it all seemed to change. It just got weird. I mean why are guys wearing leotards and touching each others todgers? And that Welsh dude, what a boring asshole...at least the young joiner dude from season 1 cracked a fart and looked like he was a massive nob naturally. There was no mention of "lemon cordial" in season 1, wtf is all that about? For sure in Season 2 there is so much waffling in the diary room, but in season 1 just so little of that, and a lot more to do with being interesting socially - and in season 1 they nearly were that. In season 2...zzzzz......Does season 3 make a better fist of it? :fist:

I wish people would stop stealing words from BB and attaching them to Love Island...Like housemates, diary room and evicted.

Because its like its ripping off BB.

Even though Love Island is now far more successful fans and media alike still cant grasp the catchphrases penned by li producers.

Suppose its a compliment to BB in a way seeing as the phrases are so iconic.

I know it's something small but its annoying.

Brutal? Wtf. Season 1 was mostly normal and it made sense. I cannot really remember any sugary-sweet emotional indulgence between opposite sex, and pretty much zero homo-erotic transactions between the young men in the first season. In season 2 you've got a right load of twatting on about emotions that cannot, or should not exist between normal people. And, as for between the 'lads', I mean really stop commenting on how much you'd like to bum the other lads and saying "**** me" to each other every five minutes. I don't blame the contestants, I don't even blame me for watching it. But, I would keep one big full eye on that British male identity. Take it from Season 1's ex-pro footballer - keep it dapper, and get the hot chicks.

Seeing as big brother is probably the first reality show like this in Britain I would just get use to it. Imean a few years ago some people were referring to eliminations on ex factors as evictions :skull:

also to the op is funny you say this because from cast interviews and things I've read on here season 1 is probably the season with the most production manipulation, i think they would have several day in the week where they would spend them with a producer outside the villa. source for this is our very own Cal

I’m only on ep 4’brutal in that they boys and girls were honest about not fancying the people they were coupled up with, brutal in that the first coupling where one guy stepped forward while coupled up when a new girl came in, brutal in that the twin are such arse holes ...that kind of brutal

i do like how in season 1 they talk more about the prize fund and the possibility of people being in there just to play the game and win. now they kind of ignore the fact that there is a prize fund or that there will even be a winner
