Playing this game alone as a survivor is pretty frustrating, 80% of the people you play with won't be team players and will only look out for themselves.. it's always more fun and rewarding with friends. Being a killer is so much fun though. Freddy Krueger is hands down the most annoying prick on this game, Don't think i've ever survived against him.

Yes! I love playing as the DLC killers more. You can buy killers or survivors from the DLC for 9,000 shards i think. thats how i got the clown.

Micheal Myers is insanely fun, I'd recommend picking him up. His perks are pretty bad but his addons are amazing and his character power can be stupidly strong in the right hands.

Leatherface has two godlike perks but essentially he's a camping killer that's only good at camping and baiting a hooked survivor's teammates to rescue them so he can chainsaw both. Aside from having the best camp game and two great perks, I think he's mostly an inferior Hillbilly. He's great for gathering bloodpoints though.

Freddy is the worst killer in the game but he is fun to play and he's more than capable of 4K-ing survivors at most levels. His perks are a bit meh aside from Blood Warden.

The Pig is fun to play but she has some big weaknesses, good perks though.

The Clown's pretty strong, good character power, decently fun to play and he has some good perks.

You should save up your shards for Kate or the clown and get points from the store to get the other and buy the next dlc imo.

We have a new killer for september which is coming soon and another one in December (i think) and the next one in spring, so every 3 months.

For the whole DLC it's like 6 pound

But it's either 9,000 shards for a killer or a survivor or 500 auric cells which is £3.99 on the store.

yeah, it gives you a better understanding on how to play and what to do and what not to do as killer and survivor. if you keep playing you will get better

The hag marks the ground and if anyone steps on them loads of hags pop up and scare them and you can teleport to that place.

The new chapter is being unveiled on Tuesday, it seems. This means that a new killer, survivor and a map will be released a week or two later on PCs (with the consoles following behind shortly after that).

Also the developers had a stream yesterday in which they confirmed they are working on new modes.

I don't get how anyone is supposed to play this :hmph:. I tried like 2 games as survivor and died within a minute, which is fine, I get that it takes more than 2 games to get half decent at anything, BUT it also takes like 5 - 10 minutes of wait time to get into a game :umm2:. Just no.

That's odd, if you're playing on your own then games should basically be instant. There's some issues at times with Survive with Friends though where it can take a while to find a game.

The best advice I can give you as a survivor would be to remember that the killer's view is limited, it's easy to spot movement but more difficult to see someone that is still and crouching. It's very possible for a lot of characters to camouflage themselves into their surroundings.

Another bit of advice would be that, if you're being chased, avoid running in a straight line for too long, almost every killer is faster than the survivors so they'll gain ground on long straight runs. Remember where the palettes and windows are and keep turning and breaking line of sight with the killer.

He's out on steam and while it's a nice idea I found him pretty hard to play, I think it takes 3 stabs on frenzy to down a survivor and it encourages you to chase more than 1 survivor in frenzy mode.

Yeah I agree, i'm only just getting use to playing him but most times everyone or nearly everyone escapes :laugh: i use noed (No One Escapes Death) with Freddy to help him.

Freddy is probably one of my more dependable killers, I can always guarantee 2 or 3 kills with him. I think they've buffed him recently and the survivors in your dream-world are a hell of a lot easier to spot since it's pretty much a permanent BBQ & Chili situation.

I definitely enjoy playing him more than I play Hillbilly, Huntress or Leatherface (3 of the most popular killers, it would seem).

For some reason forgot both David and Feng even though they're probably top 5 for me (David bc shirtless, Feng bc she's invisible and tiny and has a trapper mask)

If I'm playing killer I fear the following survivors the most:
1) Nea - a stealthy and sneaky bitch who I tend to get juked by the most
2) Kate - impossible to catch, seems to be the fastest from what I've experienced. Loves a window or five.
3) Jake - tend to be troll players, leave my hooks alone :(
4) Claudette - obviously the hardest to find, and tend to be arseholes with flashlights. Bit cliche to hate her though.
5) Jeff - I have yet to encounter his weird Kiss makeup skin as a killer, but I know I'll bloody find it one day playing as the Pig, and crap my pants.

If I'm playing survivor, these tend to be the most bloody useless teammates
1) Laurie - THEY JUST SEEM TO RUN AROUND CRYING, and always careless with unhooks
2) Meg - practically turn into Usain Bolt to unhook you immediately
3) Adam - ok cool you can unhook yoursel- oh you've been downed again.
4) Claudette - can ANY of them do gens??? without failing checks????
5) Ace - killers seem to hate him the most, and fair enough he is obviously a paedophile, but yeah I guess I should be grateful that he takes all the flak whilst I can do other things

I've been jumpscared by that bastard too many times, when I'm playing Prayer Beads Spirit, I should be the one jumpscaring people, not the other way around! I legitimately squeeled once when I came out of a haunting once to see him right up against my screen.

The event is horrible so I decided to be an opulent bitch and just buy Feng's outfit outright.

I will never buy cosmetics for Ace even if I had the event currency to do so. He is the only character I've never played and I never will. I hate him.

I've so far earned 3 coins but it's a bloody horrible grind, and with the points going up each time I can't see myself earning more than 6 out of 9 before the event ends. Queues are far too long, even for a single-player survivor, and as a result I've found myself playing more as a Killer and hating it (because you get 2pts per hook, I think? Which is ridiculous when you need 400pts for a coin).

I always used to be wary of these Redditors that're frothing at the mouth over how annoying survivors can be, but after the game I played last night as the Wraith... I can fully understand it. All 4 had decisive strike, all of them had adrenaline, and some had Dead Hard, others had that pebble distraction one (which I am happy to report, I did not fall for once :love:). They all seemed to pluck firecrackers out of thin air, too, and kept trying to pallet me as I carried them to the hook. It could've been a total nightmare, and of course they all teabagged at the gates, but I managed to kill one and hook all the others once or twice :love: so earned a nice fat 60k anyway (with BBQ&Chili).

I haven't had any abusive messages as the Killer though. I've had quite a lot lately actually just being like "gg", "well played", "that was a close one!!!!" etc and it's still keeping me from playing as a nasty person. If someone disconnects (happens way too often) I'll often let some escape and farm for free... I had a game tonight as the Huntress (I needed to hatchet 4 people for a Daily Ritual, managed to do it in 2 games which is rare for me because I SUCK as the Huntress :laugh:) where a Nea d/ced as soon as I downed her for the first time (this was like 2 or 3 minutes in, not RIGHT at the start you mess) and I was running Huntress' Lullaby, so everyone kept failing skillchecks and this poor Ace got 2-hooked, so as soon as he got freed he ran straight into me... I kept hitting pallets to try and signal to him "it's fine, I don't want to kill you straight away lol that sucks" and even kept throwing hatchets to where the Hex Totem was, but he didn't get the hint :bawling: and kept running away and failing to heal himself. In the end it got annoying because the other 2 got through one gate and he kept trying to open the other right in front of me. I'm nice, but not that nice :oh:

Also, something I've noticed:

- run Hex: Ruin, it gets destroyed straight away
- run Hex: Devour Hope, it gets destroyed as soon as you're on 2 tokens
- run Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, it never gets destroyed
- run Hex: Huntress Lullaby, it never gets destroyed :love:

I still need to unlock the Third Seal now that it's really useful, I kept skipping past it when unlocking Ruin/Devour Hope the hard way. I've almost got all killers' perks by leveling them all up to 40, but there're some that I just refuse to unlock for survivor or killer...

1) Sole Survivor - don't really want to play a game where the Killer can see you 50% of the time, thanks
2) No Mither - don't really want to be permanently crippled, thanks
3) Territorial Imperative - don't really need to know when someone's entered the basement, thanks (tried it once, was naturally the opposite end of the map when it happened)
4) Autodidact - how is this Adam's highest-level perk? It's just a maths headache and not worth it.

They're changing Decisive Strike to be only used after the survivor has already been hooked once (or twice, I guess).

Stun duration reduced by a second too. Just need to change NOED to only affect the first-struck survivor and this community can stop whining about perks :laugh:

I don't think NOED will ever be changed while games favour survivors like they do. Make NOED less viable as it stands and the Killer population will plummet. Unless they make killers less frustrating to play, then NOED probably has to stay the way it is.

The DS change is good though, I never ran that perk as I'm crap at the skillcheck but I find it infinitely more frustrating to deal with as a killer than I find NOED as a survivor. NOED has counterplay, DS doesn't really.

But every time you drop someone they gain like a quarter of their struggle bar, there's multiple spots on every map where hooks aren't spread out enough to deal with that without them breaking away from you, especially if someone is sabotaging hooks.

They just revealed a lot in a livestream:

- Killer's power is LITERALLY vomiting on you. 'Dark Purge'. If you hit a survivor, they become sick and have to heal at a fountain somewhere on the map. In the meantime, everything or everyone they touch becomes contaminated (pallets, gens, windows, other players). The purge also injures that one person, but doesn't injure anyone that person later comes into contact with.

- New survivor, Jane Romero, is a TV chat show host who goes missing after a car crash. Her perks are a little bit crap tbh. Off the top of my head she has:
- Head On - if you dash out of a locker, you can stun the killer for 3 seconds. But you have to be in the locker for a while, so you can't just jump in one in a chase and run away :(
- Solidarity: One where if you're healing a survivor, you also heal yourself 50% at the same time. Good if someone's in the dying state, I guess, and you're in a rush to pick them up while healing yourself.
- Poised: when you complete a gen, you don't leave scratch marks for 10 seconds. Handy I guess but only if you're a badass who completes gens right in the Killer's face :laugh:

Killer's perks (can't remember the names sorry):
- One is an obsession perk: if you hit the obsession, you lose your terror radius and it is transferred to that injured obsession for a while. Good for hitting multiple people I guess in a NON-CRAP WAY HUH LEGION?
- One starts off the game with the 3 gens furthest away from you blocked by the entity, so the players have to go for gens closer to you. Until you move, obviously, so idk how effective this'd be.
- Infectious Fright: if you down a survivor, everyone else that's nearby (in the terror radius) lets out a scream and you can see them (like the Doctor's ability).

The map is this big, multi-level temple in the middle of the Red Forest. Bit of a shame it isn't its own thing, but it's huge so should be survivor friendly :shrug:

The Player Test Build is sometime this week, so this chapter should be released next week?

1) The one I protected my friend from cleansing I think was Hex: Ruin, but I make a habit of trying to break all of the other ones anyway to make sure the killer doesn't get to use 'Hex: No One Escapes Death' at the end of the game where he/she can down you with 1 hit instead of 2 :( it's way too commonly used by killers, so I used a map in this game to try and locate them all. Unfortunately, it was a SpookyMyers.
2) There's a Claudette perk called 'Self Care' (sometimes you can buy it in the Shrine of Secrets in the store, but I think it's rare because it's so important to use) where you can heal yourself at 0.5x the speed of being healed by someone else.

It's a good move that robs the survivors of a lot of potential to troll killers or hold the game hostage.

Like a few weeks back I had this Jake who went down in a corner away from any hooks and there was no way for me to reach a hook because he'd escape and run back to the corner but now if that were to happen I could open the exit gate as a killer and force him to change his position, leave or die.

I imagine this will be a ridiculous buff for the likes of Blood Warden and The Pig though. Saving your traps until the gates are open will probably force a few trap kills, especially now you can shut the hatch.

Speaking of miraculous escapes... around last week in one game, I was downed (crawling) and hid in this high grass area while the killer killed off the one other guy... then I sneakily crawled my way to the hatch which was on the OTHER side of the map. Killer walked past me just as I hid in another grassy area when I got close to the hatch as well. Ended up actually escaping lol. I thought he was gonna come back to the hatch and get me just before I jumped in, that would've been tragic.

Nurse is obviously S on PC but had to do it from a console perspective... she's difficult to use on it, but her perks are all excellent and she can still be devastating if you master her.

Yeah Self-Care is vital but Botany & Empathy aren't that great (I prefer Bond to empathy since you don't need them injured to see them, and Botany isn't as useful as We'll Make It)

With the other survivors I placed in the A tier, all of them have something to either prolong the chase (Meg=Sprint Burst, Nea=Balanced landing, Feng=Lithe) or something to avoid being detected (Meg=Quick & Quiet, Nea=Urban evasion, Feng=Alert). Ash's Mettle of Man is obviously the new best perk in the game, and Dwight... all 3 perks are good, might've placed him too high because he's my main :tongue:

I don't like Sprint Burst at all but Meg's third perk is Adrenaline which, again, is probably one of the best :laugh:

It's weird, her perks are all only really "B tier":
- Haunted Ground - great occasionally, but most survivors are smart enough to turn invisible if they activate it
- Rancor - lots of fun if your obsession is a horrible little bitch
- Spirit Fury - takes time to activate and is only useful with Enduring, but is still good

But I dunno... everyone seems to become 50x more scared if they play against her. I'm not even that good at using her haunting ability, I tend to lose survivors all the time, but she's got great add-ons and can cover the whole map very quickly without any stun-time like Nurse/Hillbilly

The Nurse is the most powerful killer in the game bar none, she's hard to use but her power pretty much allows her to bypass anything the survivors can throw at her.

Claudette's at the top 'cus she doesn't have any bad perks and she has the best model in the game for staying hidden. Nea and Feng also have small models that can be hard to spot and neither of them have any bad perks but they do have a fair few very useful ones between them.

Laurie and Quentin are at the bottom because Laurie has two terrible perks and one that's only situational at best now while everything Quentin does is underwhelming.

Kate's middle of the pack really, Dance With Me's a good perk but it's a combo one, you really need to use Lithe to make the most of it. Windows is nice although the cooldown is a bit much and Wild Horse is just very situational.

- We're Gonna Live Forever (I am a points slut, but I feel bad about unhooking without helping them, so use WMI to heal quickly. Works really well if someone else is being slugged, too)

Killer perks depend on the Killer obviously :p the 2 I use most...

Spirit
- Discordance (ideal for knowing when to grab someone off a generator)
- Hex: Huntress Lullaby (skill checks can be a nightmare)
- Hex: Thrill of the Hunt (so I know when someone's trying to cleanse Lullaby)
- Nurse's Calling (good with every killer, but with this build it makes Survivors feel completely helpless :laugh:)

Myers
- Monitor and Abuse (almost essential unless you're using the mirror add-ons; extra spook)
- Hex: Ruin (use on everyone, except Spirit bc of my fun build mentioned above lol)
- Bamboozle (ideal when you pop Tier 3 and they're trying to loop and escape)
- Pop Goes the Weasel (I don't have TOO many perks on Myers at this point, but this can be very useful. Goes too quickly after a hook though :/ so will replace it.

Just had a game where a fellow survivor tried to get me killed at the end of the game :joker:

The game started with 3 of us on a generator in the shack (basement was there, too). Nearly finished it, Pig comes out of nowhere, grabs a poor Ash and traps him. Notices me there too, hits me, chases me for a bit and then Jane fails a bloody skill check and alerts her to her being there too. I leg it, she gets downed, and then doesn't even try to recover whilst Ash gets basement-hooked. I keep running back and forth to revive her, but she doesn't recover at all. I can't heal because Pig has Nurse's Calling. Jane eventually gets found crawling around and gets hooked too. I later unhook her (the 4th player unhooks Ash), and Jane refuses to let me heal her lol. I don't see her again until this video.

TLDR: What a prick. The video cuts off before I send a cute message. ("lol nice try babe x")

I hate when people are downed and just lying on the ground in the open not even reviving themselves, it's literally so frustrating especially if the killer is clearly using them as bait.

Some girl sent me a voice message a few days ago calling me a selfish bitch because she was in the clearing in Cold Wind farm and I was stood in the corn motioning her to crawl to me, she just let there and as soon as I approached she hadn't even healed and Myers came for me, luckily I was Claudette and lost him in the corn but she literally just lay in the same place until he hooked her. I got the hatch and she accused me of leaving her and I was like wtf help yourself first bitch

Me and Barry had this one game where 2 people dc'd when the game just started so i told Barry forget this lets find the killer and die :laugh: the killer let us escape and farm for points because they probably felt bad for us

It's offerings to spawn on certain maps. Like the jigsaw puzzle bit sends you to the meat plant and the Strode key sends you to Haddonsfield

Pig has received a huge nerf: traps no longer activate once the last gen is done, there has to be a gen being completed to activate it. So that whole "Endgame = Perfect for Pig" theory is shot dead :(

I don't really know anything that'd be lore-specific to her, but I have thought of a few from time to time (I haven't given any of them names lol, I'm not that far up my own ass):

1) One where you receive more skill-checks when doing anything, like one every 5 seconds, but it makes you 10% faster at doing gens/heals (the numbers would differ on each tier of the perk)
2) One where you send out some kind of 'mirage' survivor, a duplicate of yourself, to send the Killer on a wrong path... this'd be pretty strong though so might have to be balanced by only being able to be used once or twice a game? Maybe every time you complete a generator? Idk.
3) One kinda useless one for the Ace mains where once you search and loot from a chest, another one is created somewhere on the map (can only be used once per game)
4) One kinda similar to Mettle of Man, where you can actually survive a third hook (ie you're put into the struggle state on your third hook, rather than you die instantly), but like MOM you would be visible to the Killer after your first hook.

Perhaps an obsession perk where once you start working on a generator, its aura disappears for the Killer whilst you work on it (but you automatically become the obsession)
