Just an idea.

What if Big Brother only cast 6 housemates for a civilian BB? I know it sounds small but hear me out.

Think of all the successful tv shows with a group of friends who have millions upon millions of viewers tuning in weekly...Its a proven format for getting ratings.

How cool would it be if we just had an actual group of friends who go through everyday **** like we all do put into a house together. It would be so relatable and even though its tried and tested in sitcoms the world over its always been a success whilst the current BB format is boring people....Maybe even throw in the classic new girl like Rachel from f.r.i.e.n.d.s or Robyn from himym.

I think its far more intriguing than just having a ton of people to get to know all at once.

Thoughts?

DON'T do that again :fist: I thought this was news and I got excited about you know what

I don't think this would work, the likelihood is they'd all get on and it'd be a kumbaya series

I apologise sincerely

The concept though could be interesting...Kinda like the Spice Girls with a smaller group the viewers would argue over who they are most like.

They need to do something because the whole 12-16 housemates isn't working for them...The viewers aren't connecting to it. Love Island had like 36 contestants though so maybe im talking out of my Bovril bypass.

Honestly I don't think there's anything they can do that's going to save it, the show has been running on empty for years and the damage is done. I'm disappointed with the ratings but not surprised, it is what it is now and that's why (save from giving theformatwhichshallnotbenamed a trial) I hope they just stick to the back to basics production in civilian and let it be

The last thing I want is them hitting the panic button again and spoiling things

I do think it would be a really interesting idea going back to the original reality show "The Real World" especially with all these millennials so interested in everything 90's these days....Just made myself feel old as ****.

BUT I agree producers have pulled it out of the bag with going back to the original format of BB this year its been great but the viewership isn't there so "for now" they need to completely change it whilst not changing it then bring back evil big brother with a huge relaunch as BB5 did so well!

Watching a group of friends in a house share isn't interesting.

It's also nothing like those other shows since you wouldn't be watching them going through ordinary life since they're locked in a house with nowhere to go.

So the 6 housemate show you're suggesting is nothing like the Big Brother format? So a new show altogether
