I keep thinking that there is already a deal made with another channel, but that won't be announced until next year maybe.

No contract is renewed.

They renewed their lease on the studio space. That means nothing.

They'd have a harder time negotiating with new networks if they gave up the house/studios ands had to start from scratch because other productions took up the area, so of course they extended it.
