Would have been an interesting gambit. I would have said "No, big brother, my account was hacked."

How exactly would they prove otherwise?

They'd probably have to take her word for it, pending further investigation.

So what was the point of asking her?

I think they just wouldn't have shown it and left her in there unless proven otherwise

Well to clarify still.
Even when BB know things aren't true ,they still treat the scandal as fact .

Look at the mess with Roxanne ,they still gave Ryan a warning despite it being obvious he DIDN'T attack her .

I miss Ellis.

...she was literally last on TV forty five minutes ago, and all she did during her one episode stay was try and ride the least likeable person in the house before being removed for being a massive racist

There isn't much to miss

Think of the amount of sh4t she'll have to go through now.

Is it really fair - all because of a few dumb-a$$ comments she made (aged 15)?

For all those ganging up to either ruin her or simply have a go at her - what percentage have never said one nasty thing when they were teenagers?

Like everyone's some perfect angel that never says or thinks anything mean or derogatory about other human beings.

Yeah right.

She briefly said sorry , but i think she was more using the excuse of "it was years ago but yea" . She must regret it surely ? she's lost her place in the BB house over something so stupid ! . But i was never a fan .

Big Brother's been a joke on this stuff ever since the tabloid furore over Jade. More recently with CH5 it's escalated with stuff outside the house, this is at least the third they've got rid of like that. I suppose the audience are so used to it they just don't care anymore.

It's not just BB , IAC did it with Jack Maynard due to his messy social media.

It would've made her life worse I think... Tabloids: "BBUK Ellis claims the tweets are not hers"... then the fishing by the media and bored people into her personal life trying to dig up even more dirt...

Even if she denied it they'd still remove her as precaution !. Even though it's BB 's own fault for putting her in there without checking her out .

The term 'racist' gets thrown around all the time now as well, it's commonplace on the internet at least, doesn't matter how actually true it is or whether people have to get around to inventing new races for it to work even.

Especially in the youtube comment section , people hide behind a fake name and random username as they sit behind their computer screens spouting vulgar abuse , racist stuff and all sorts and they hide behind that alias as nobody know's who they really are .

So yes it exists all over the internet but Ellis was stupid enough to have her real name /identity attached to it . I don't have much sympathy for her , if she's dumb enough to post before thinking first then it's her own fault.

I think that the accounts of minor children (and what they've said in them) shouldn't be available to the public. In my country (the US), this would be age 18. I'm not sure what age adulthood is in the UK, but kids should be free to make mistakes and learn from them, without it carrying over into their adult life, especially if nobody physically got hurt. To me it's stupid. All this stuff about race. Yes, it's stupid to say those things, and people should be held accountable when they say it. Holding someone accountable for something they said as a teenage five years ago, makes no sense. At the same time, I wish that they would extend that to sexist, mysoginistic terms as well. Why should women be constantly subject to this crap? I mean, I think that people should have some sort of penalty if they do it, when they do it. But I don't think that it should be so harsh that they can't learn and get back on track.

Oh I must've missed that bit. I mean I'm sure she's no racist but any normal person would've been like "omfg I'm soo sorry" "I didn't mean those things" etc etc. Anyway thats my fault for expecting a normal reaction from her :skull:

..I’m not really sure what it would have achieved by denying them...Ellis would have only received a public ‘hate’ as a liar as well as a racist...so compounded it and added another layer...that whole conversation though should have happened before the housemates were chosen...’hang in Ellis, look what we found here...we can’t put you in the house with those hate views’...etc...let her see how she has impacted her own life in being denied something she really wanted to take part in...
