Even when the drama has nothing to do with him, he STILL throws his two pence into the mix (see: him clapping repeatedly in the background when Lewis and Ana clashed before) which just distracts me from the other things going on.

He doesn't fit this series at all. He fits the other Channel 5 years when the show was nothing but instagram-fame-hungry-celeb-wannabes.

It's not like that this year and he's like a fish out of water. He's trying to make his "act" work but he's not getting the reactions from the other housemates that he wants to, because it's not that kind of house this year. Mostly people are just ignoring him or talking amongst themselves when he starts being loud.

I absolutely detested him on launch night and in the first episode, but (and I can't believe I'm saying this!) last night I found him strangely amusing, and it was all the more funny as no-one was reacting to him. He's definitely growing on me, and I think he might prove to be a better housemate than I expected. I recognise, in saying that though, that he could quickly become annoying again.

He is trying to emulate Bear and like I said on another thread; the reason Bear worked and was great (he WAS great. Awful human, great HM) was because that series was so full of painful bores who took themselves very seriously and were easily wound up.

To be fair this year though, and you have to give credit to the people editing together the HL shows, they're not letting Lewis G dominate the show. They're sort of "peppering" other storylines with his antics, rather than it becoming the Lewis G show as it did with Bear.

Also to his credit (I guess) is that he isn't really bullying... In fact he's much calmer and nicer with the quieter housemates so far, the only ones he's really gone in on are the ones who are themselves loud and overconfident.
