They should of specified that its processed meat that has been deemed as bad as smoking
Smoking actually causes 64,500 cancer cases in the UK! Processed meats only cause 8,800 cancer cases!

Noticed Lewis F is bringing her Vegan passion out of her more , but i'm fed up of this daft argument when we all know SMOKING is worse . Sure somebody could smoke all their life and may not necessarily get cancer but their insides are screwed ! from all the tobacco .
Plus the respiratory is weakened . There's so many bad things that happen to you due to smoking  .
I know meat can contribute to bad health , but it all depends on how it's cooked and how it's prepared .

1st of all why would I a vegan of 3+ find chicken tasty, 2 did I not even say unseasoned chicken? Finally the whole black people love chicken thing is a mess because chicken is universally liked it's not just a black thing. It's not even a meat thats really used in my culture as people from Rwanda prefer beef with it being primarily made up of cattle herders. So you can miss me with the whole black thing.

It's not really my job to tell people what is and what isn't ethical but a lot of people really don't know what goes into getting their food to them and It's my opinion that if more people were 100% aware they would at least consider cutting down on the amount they consume.
Also whether you drink milk or not theres no arguing that drinking another animals milk isn't very natural seeing as nature intended for that milk to go to their babies. Theres a reason so many people are lactose intolerant.

Of course the milking industry is unethical really. I don't know too much about it but I presume that the cows have to be pregnant near constantly..as I would think thats the only way they would keep producing milk? IDK. I don't really think about all of this that much. But in these kinds of arguments usually it comes up that if we had to kill our own animals we would not eat meat. I must be rare in that because I wouldn't have an issue with that and really, the meat would be MUCH tastier if completely fresh.
I would rather the animals have a decent life, but I am not going to pretend that I stress and that over it all. Meat tastes nice, I am addicted to tea so I need milk also, and I don't feel guilty about it

What other inference can anyone draw from that than you having a go at meat eaters? Or was that not supposed to be taken literally?

I was having a go at the implication that factory farming is at all natural or part of the cirle of life. If you took that as me comming for meat eatsrs then thats your problem because I didn't say anything about people who eat meat. My comments were on the industries that produces meat.

Meat tastes nice, I am addicted to tea so I need milk also, and I don't feel guilty about it :shrug:Exactly. That's reality and you accept that. People pretending it's all rosie and nice is either disingenuous or ignorant is all I'm saying.

When did I say meet eaters beam with pride? I was just pointing out the messy propaganda on a lot of meat and dairy products that make out the cows and farm animals are just having a blast on their lil farm.
Discussing "more humane" than others isn't about a fairytale land where animals are all living lovely lives.
Your idea that not eating animals results in some utopia where the animals wander off into a beautiful life, however, is ridiculous.
Also theres literally posts in here saying they would rather die then eat meat :skull:
I agree that's silly.

I feel like religious conversion would be easier than arguing with most anyone who is a vegetarian/vegan...
i respect other reasons like health for example but i genuinely think people have a staggering misunderstanding of agriculture sometimes.
cattle do generally remain outdoors much of the time as it is better for their health which is obviously in farmers' interest, and cows in agriculture also get medically treated to the highest of standards where necessary.
there isn't a situation where cows roam free on the own. modern cattle would literally die in the wild without agriculture.

Point me to where I sudgested that everyone should be vegan? I even sudgested to someone in here that they should cut down on meat and use the money they save on better quality, more ethically/locally sourced meat. I was never talking about more humane. When I broght up the fairy tale land I was talking about the meet and dairy industry use as propaganda e.g The Laughing Cow etc
I had my physical done recently and for the first time they asked me if I was a practicing vegan or vegetarian. I was like "No". So my nurse was like "Oh, good". Me and the husband were like "hmmmm".
I don't think I've ever been asked in regular life that much, but I know some who do practice it. None of them try to force it, but they try to say "Hey you know, we can get by fine so you probably can..."... but I know better than to try to counter-argue, because people are quite passionate about that lifestyle so...
Stubbornness can be either be a really great quality or bad one in a person... it just depends on how they handle that. I tend to think of it is a positive.

I know that you know what I’m saying deep down so I’m not even going there.
You’re allowed your lifestyle but you should have as much respect for carnivores as you expect them to have for you. That’s the crux of it.
..I have to say Redway that I sadly often find it the opposite of what you say is your experiences...?...and we can only go by our own personal experiences...I don’t eat meat myself and haven’t for many years..everyone knows I don’t and yet occasionally...(..and it is only occasionally and in a lighthearted way I will say..)...I’m still asked...why don’t you eat meat, how could you not want to eat bacon or try a steak or whatever...just similar things to that...it’s not something I find tedious or annoying in any way because it’s not that often that it happens...but just why, really...why ask, why question, why comment...why not just accept as it has no bearing on what anyone else has chosen in their lifestyle...?...so it doesn’t always feel that you are ‘allowed’ your lifestyle and food choices, without being questioned and then questioned again...and still not understood or accepted...?...so I can see for some people how that would provoke a defensiveness, which can lead to this type of discussion being a little ‘heated’...
...and here in the old 2018 with so many people choosing a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle..?...there is still not a great variety of options available in restaurants...the vegetarian and vegan choices are quite limited in comparison to meat eating choices, does that show an equal respect..?...and in some cases the choices are all quite ‘samey’ and uninventive...I went somewhere quite recently and there was a huge choice on the main menu...but for me..?...the only choice really was pasta..and I’m not hugely fond of pasta...so I don’t feel that vegetarianism or veganism is always respected or catered for that much to be honest...I mean I totally respect that people eat meat and always will but more and more people are choosing not to and it has to be a two way thing...there is a lot more choice than there used to be and it is becoming less questioned or commented on...but there is still a way to go for me, considering it’s 2018 and there shouldn’t be a way to go ...yeah vegetarianism and veganism should be allowed their lifestyle...they should be allowed their lifestyle without comment or jokes or whatever but sadly that allowance sometimes isn’t there and carries on persisting in making jibes etc...

...ironically..it’s processed meat which is given to children in school meals ...which have been deemed to be ‘balanced’ in their nutritional content...and it’s the cheapest processed meat as well..the lowest quality of the lowest quality, type thing...after they’ve eaten that potentially toxic meat, would the government think it’s okay to finish the meal off with a nice cigarette for each one...an after meal smoke..

..it is potentially toxic, Arista...it’s full of chemicals which have been linked with cancer in their toxicity value..so yes, it’s potentially toxic and it’s being given to children as a ‘balanced nutritious meal’...and a child can eat bucketfuls of vegetables but that still won’t change that they’re being given unhealthy meat with those vegetables..it won’t counter that, baby.....
So in that recent tv series Sugar-Free Diet ..
They had a group of volunteers who were given a healthy diet which for two weeks excluded ALL sugar even naturally found sugar ( in fruit etc ) .. they added naturally found sugar foods after a fortnight but exclude processed sugar totally ...
Anyways from day ONE ... one of their options as part of the 'healthy' diet was a bacon /sausage fry up in LARD each morning ..

i think that you need to take account of the fact that kids need and process food completely differently from adults.
Potatoes are toxic if you eat them for 80 years ... everything becomes toxic for you at some point. While trans fats should be avoided .... who is really going to give up a donut once in a while if they find them delicious
People do jump on bandwagons and start preaching, but our own bodies know whats good or bad for us. We know instinctively what to eat when we are deficient in particular vitamins etc. A body is after all basically just a factory that requires fuel to operate.

..it isn’t once in a while that children’s school meals contain processed meat though, Bots...it’s a daily thing with only a few days being the exception...the point is that they’re being given chemicals in their meat which are potentially toxic and they’re being given it on a regular basis through their childhood...and it’s adults, as in the government..?..who are making that decision for them because the children aren’t of an age to know what is good or bad for their bodies...they’re being told that their school meal diet is nutritious when it isn’t, so basically being lied to and given potentially toxic foods...

I've always used LARD to fry things .. as a kid my mum used to cook chips in lard as well ..
My point was they were promoting eating bacon / sausages for breakfast each day ..

Also I never said vegetarian jokes are unfunny, I just said they don't bother me because 9/10 I've probably heard that same joke countless times before. Clearly my joke bothered you though because you seem really heated.

Quite. Infact the fastest (and some say healthiest too) way to lose weight is actually with a HIGH fat diet. High fat, low carb.
