I think the late nights and no Saturdays have had a huge effect, coupled with bad selection of housemates and bloody Rylan.

The housemates and production are the core reason

Every year we get articles like this, because every year the ratings dip. Same with X Factor etc. It's hardly news anymore I don't know why they keep repeating the same articles.
However I don't understand why people keep going on about 10pm. Every series of BB on C5 has been 10pm.
Obvs it's never been an issue because going from BB 10pm to Summer CBB 9pm was better, but now that it's the other way round people feel cheated idk

But we haven't seen a big decease since launch night. The production has been the best out of all the channel 5 series's.

I agree about the production, they have really pulled the stops out this time.

That isn’t saying much and it’s still the contrived forced storylines, nomination twists, awful eviction order ect
Bring back life feed for the fans since nobody is watching anyway xx

Starting the civilian series so soon after the celebrity one ended is the main problem.
How is this series doing in catch-up figures?

BB19 or BB 2018.
It's explained in the article/link.

Why would no Saturday have an effect?
You think people aren't bothering because there aren't ENOUGH episodes?
No.

Poster was referring to you putting BB18 in the title of this thread and not BB19.

Ok, got it now, should have put 2018 or BB 19, apologies, but the article was explanatory.

In relation to this article though yes BB has lost 8 million viewers in 18 years but The X Factor was getting 20 million 10 years ago and now gets 4 to 6 million.

Doesn't bode well for either programmes.
The X Factor lost me years ago but I am still hanging onto BB, just!!
