Big Brother viewers are questioning whether a line was crossed on Thurday’s show, where a row between Lewis f and Akeem seemed dangerously close to getting physical.
The explosive situation started innocently enough in a reprise of the classic Big Brother shock-suit task, where Akeem and Lewis were teamed with Cameron as Thinkers for the house. Unfortunately, they didn't do well and spent much of the day sniping at each other with petty insults.
The tension between Thinkers Lewis F, Cameron and Akeem throughout the task later boiled into a row in the hot tub, where Akeem accused Lewis F of trashing new housemate Hussain behind his back.
"Always thinking the world's against you," Akeem complained, with Lewis sniping: "Not the world! Just you, slagging me off behind my back!"
Lewis then got unexpectedly heated while brandishing a wine glass, shouting: "Shut up Akeem, you boring ******! Shut the ****** up!"
Suddenly the two were literally going head-to-head arguing, and when Isabella tried to play peacemaker, Lewis shouted her down to stay out of it and ended up rightfully angering her as well.
"You're not the queen or something are you?" Lewis F jabbed.
As the night wore on, Lewis F tried to make peace with Isabella, but ended up messing up his mea culpa when he again complained that she should have stayed out of his argument.
Meanwhile, Cameron had a go at Cian because the Irish farmer tried to get Akeem out of the hot tub in the heat of the argument, accusing him of intervening for more camera time.
Moments later, Lewis was in the Diary Room slating Cian too, accusing him of having "forced his feelings on Cameron" just before the teenager came out last week.
As a result of all of this, many viewers felt that Lewis and Cameron crossed a line, especially in the way Lewis spoke to Isabella

Both Cameron and Lewis crossed the line imo it was very uncomfortable to watch and it made them look like raving idiots - the look of absolute hate on Lewis' face was awful - so his mask has finally dropped which can only be a good thing imo.

For me, there were some warning sign of his misogyny but I didn't want to judge him too hastily, I think last night pretty much confirmed it though. I mean he argued with Akeem but he really spoke down to Issy

Misogyny, yes, but also misanthropy. All this isolating himself and dismissing other people is out of frustration he doesn't get his way with others.

Hmmm, I notice how they missed out what Akeem said to Lewis to annoy him, but it is what it is, but the 'brandishing a glass about' again way over the top he was swilling it around with water and holding it in his hands and as for a vile rant, lol,he told her to keep out of it and shut up , what is vile about that? plus so what if she is a woman, aren't we all equal now? as for Cameron,I don't think people can blame Lewis for his behaviour as someone said earlier we are all responsible for our own actions.

It takes two people to argue. For me they're both in the wrong. And Cameron is his own man, he follows no one. Not even Lewis.

The point is, he speaks differently to women than he does to men ergo not equal in his eyes

Imo idk if we shouldn’t be blaming Lewis for Cameron since in this case he’s clearly using him due to Lewis being a total ego maniac, reinforcing the negativity. Cameron was never like this with tomasz.. it makes me wonder what cam would be like if his close friend in there was cian or Isabella
Lewis clearly is the sort of person to drag everyone down to his low level, make every day dramatic due to his own insanity, expect everyone to cater to him ect and have a tantrum if things don’t go his way

I was actually mildy concerned at one point he was going to hit Akeem with the glass. He was waving it around in anger. It's not that over the top tbh.
I liked Cameron before but Lewis's influence has made Cameron drop like a stone in my opinion.

Exactly Kazanne….if it was that bad surely BB would have called him to the DR and told him to calm down and then give him a warning.
Its incredible that this was a two way aggressive argument but its all Lewis's fault.

he would literally say something and they would shout at him / tell him to shut up / fook off, it was not funny nor entertaining and akeem obviously thought the same, akeem never retaliates, lewis literally called akeem a **** in the hot tub for no reason, as sian said correctly he had no valid point whatsoever, akeem was clearly hurt last night at the hot tub you could see it in his face

Strewth, it was a heated argument between two people, someone, who just happened to be a female asked them to calm down, she was told to butt out.
He was swishing a glass about, before and during the argument, he wasn’t using it as a weapon.
The fact that B.B. hadn’t asked for the glass to be taken out of the pool at any point makes me think it was probably plastic.
So much talk of him being violent etc, he is known for his rants in the dr, now he does it in front of the housemates he is made out to be a thug.

Exactly, but that's been glossed over like it didn't happen.
All Lewis did was tell Akeem to "Shut Up" for droning on like lads do when they're drink, but Akeem turned nasty when he replied with "Unfortunately, the wrong Lewis went". Did people expect Lewis to raise his glass and say cheers?

From my perspective to those who say he won't confront men as he does women, didn't last night put paid to that theory, totally.
He held his own and some with Akeem but was not nearly as outspoken towards Isabella, only asking her to butt out of the argument.
He showed fully that confronting a man and a big built man would not stop him putting his point across even when they were both shouting at the top of their voices.
I am now so tired of every thing Lewis does being vilified as if he is the anti christ.

Not quite, as I am sure noone will deny he was utterly utterly plastered. I do wonder how the **** he got that pissed  I said that before it all kicked off in the highlight thread.
He has still yet to argue with a bloke when sober. While he has no issue going on aggressive rants towards women when sober. So the point is not yet proved tbh. It might well be, if he argues aggressively with Akeem again tonight (or at any stage...as I think Akeem might have a chance of staying), however the clip we were shown..it seems just sniping and that when Akeem is not actually there. I do think there is actually a large chance of another confrontation, but suspect copious amounts of alcohol will be involved again, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if Lewis resorted to violence. The anger in his face last night was really something to behold. He cannot control himself at all when drunk and seems to get more courage..part of why I think he finally argued with a bloke.
He seems to have huge issues with women. I didn't say this as early as some did, I think some judged him overly early, but from weeks of watching him, he seems a raging misogynist tbh, just like Cameron. No wonder they are drawn to each other
Even with all of that said, I think I would prefer Lewis to stay as he is interesting (and slightly frightening) to watch. Though I would not be THAT bothered if he was evicted/ejected as I think hes sucking the fun out of the house with his moping.

No, you were clearly half asleep, hon. They were all having a pop at each other and frustrated for getting the answers wrong - that's all it was. Hardly anger infused like you're suggesting.
Did you not see Cameron asking Lewis "WTF does an Onion have to do with a cabbage" and Lewis replied with "It's a fking vegetable, you d!ckhead"? or them bickering over the Caviar and Oysters? :joker:
Lewis and Cam were taking pops at each other just like Akeem was. I hate to use the phrase "It was just banter", but it really was on this occasion.

He was drinking red wine while they were doing the task, I made a thread about it I have never seen that before!

Just got around to watching this. None of them came across well but... c'mon guys... anyone who is painting Lewis to be worse that Akeem in this argument must be being pretty biased?
They were equally trying to wind each other up. Akeem raised his voice first. Akeem was MORE physically confrontational than Lewis (sitting up, coming forwards towards him, gesturing etc.) and also was first to do so. They were both being equally loud and aggressive by the end of it, and they were both making points that were more or less true.
Also this idea that Lewis was "brandishing a wine glass" in a threatening way is flat out ridiculous - he was playing with it WELL BEFORE the argument started! I have to ask - do people know that they're deliberately exaggerating when they say these things? Or does negative bias towards someone actually twist perceptions so that it seems like the truth?
IMO the two people who came out of this looking the worst were actually Cian and Cameron. There was literally NO need for Cian to jump into the mix... it did feel like he was just unable to see a drama going down and then not be involved... and he got disproportionately angry about it when he was told that, stomping around and screeching. Just... why? It wasn't his argument.
But then, Cameron, in pointing that out, I feel was being a massive hypocrite because it wasn't his argument either. He has sort of involved himself as Lewis's "backup" in a totally unecessary way... Cian and Cameron should both have stayed out of the argument.
Isabella I dunno. During the argument itself Lewis wasn't in the wrong with her, all he did was ask her not to get involved, and not aggressively. He was a bit harsh with her afterwards. But she was also saying some odd things about "not raising voices etc. when there's a girl there"... which I don't really get at all? Why would that make a difference?

Totally disagree that anyone who sees Lewis in the wrong is coming from a place of bias considering he was the most popular HM up until this happened, surely that would say the total opposite?
As for my own personal opinion on it, Akeem isn't anywhere near a favourite of mine so I'm not biased towards him, and lewis and Cameron had been picking away at him all through the task leading up to the hot tub thing

Hey, sorry havent had a chance to read the thread - just finished watching the episode and feel really tense and uncomfortable. That was horrible -Im thinking Lewis F shouldn't drink. It really doesn't suit him - his chance of winning has gone - My estimation for Akeem has gone up, he handled himself for so long against jibs and jabs and then an onslaught that day. It was all the hot tub argument that was plain nasty - so wish Cian didnt apologise and really had a go at those two C+L. they need someone telling them that they re two really bitchy negative mean boys. What a horrible episode. Someone said at the beginning its better without the drink - they should give them music or something to make the atmosphere better. That was a downer of an episode.

I find it odd that some people are implying it could have turned violent. it didnt so dont go putting thoughts in peoples heads. in the past when arguments have got heavy BB call the HM who is most wound up to the DR, chat with them, dicuss their behaviour. BB didnt do that either. so stop turning it into something that it clearly wasnt. yes it was heated, but no one crossed the line. in the past also, when there has been a massive row, we all just love it dont we. its probably a big part of what makes the series special. remember series 5, now that did turn hostile

The way this argument built up to me is cam and Lewis joking in the task, Akeem getting involved then getting shut down. They were all joking but only got serious whenever Akeem said something. Oh look..... here's a screenshot of Akeem during the task with Lewis and Cameron. Clearly miserable and upset over them being so mean to him.

No “line was crossed”.Viewers are just getting soft.Much worse has happened in BB.They just had a barney ffs.
Exactly this is what I can't understand all the hysterics over this , so much worse has happened in there, I think it maybe just something to beat Lewis with as they cannot find anything else.

lewis was seconds away from glassing akeem, you could see it in his face. We can say, it didn't happen, and for sure it didn't but it was close, and that would have been a tragedy

Stop it Bots, lol, he was playing with that plastic receptor before any argument started he was messing around with it in the water and if anyone says different it's obvious why? you just don't like the guy.I take it you were joking ?tongue and cheek ? anything but serious.

The complainers is the reason the show is ending. They've killed the show, with their moaning about everything.
It wasn't like this before. The fights were worse and no one went to bloody ofcom.
People who will point out bad things about fights/say negative things about housemates have killed the show?
Unless there have been a flood of ofcom complaints about last night..I fail to follow the logic. If there have been ofcom complaints, the complainers need to get a life.

If it didn't happen then it didn't happen
You are saying Lewis is guilty of something that didn't happen
And it's plasticing not glassing

Two people had a heated argument, that's what happened last night. No one is a bully.
No wonder this show is dying, if everything gets blown out of proportion.
Akeem was the instigator and the one in the wrong, Lewis did everything right.

It's so far back in posts on here and I can't recall the page.
However some have said BB put those 3 together for the task.
Not so.
It was the public voting who chose Akeem. Cameron and Lewis to be the thinkers not BB.

Not according to what was said on BBOTs last night, BB checked the tapes, it was Lewis.

Wow... any lads on here that are complaining about this must live a dull life with no crack with their mates what so ever. Lewis has jokingly said “akeem shut up, you’re boring” as lads do alllll the time, he was even smiling when saying it. Akeem has them got personal and brought something up that he knew would antagonise Lewis. Lewis then has a few options: he either rolls over, takes it and becomes a victim, he “bites” and they laugh it off or he defends himself and gives a bit back. He does he latter, Akeem can’t take it, they raise they voice anit and that’s that. Definitely not worth a 7 page thread. Unreal.

Actually what you've read above is true - to a certain degree.. but there's more to it than that.
On bbbots last night they did state that Lewis was first to tell Akeem to shut up while the winding up was going on between them.
However to balance fairly, bbbots also had stated that Akeem was wrong to make the ' wrong Lewis went' comment Which escalated the tensions.

BB to Lewis..."Lewis you were holding a plastic glass in your hand when arguing with Akeem...you were filling it up with water and pretending to play with it and then held it in your hand whilst having a heated debate. BB will not tolerate you holding a plastic glass...therefore you have a final warning.."...

:clap1:
I absolutely agree with everything you say here.
Lewis and Cameron had been provoking Akeem with their comments all day, and I think Akeem was just pushed to the point where he'd had enough. He has been patient and controlled for such a long time, but he was bound to react at some point. It's time someone confronted Lewis about his behaviour too.
Up until this episode I have tried to be understanding and tolerant of Lewis as he clearly has issues, and i have quite liked Cameron despite his moaning. Tonight's episode showed the moaning became something more unpleasant, and showed Lewis and Cameron feeding off each other's negativity and extreme paranoia. It wasn't pleasant.
Enough allowances have been made for Lewis throughout the series, but he's destroyed any support I had for him. And, in my opinion, it would be healthier for Cameron to detach a little from Lewis. Their relationship is becoming unhealthy and damaging to each other.
In my view, Cian did nothing wrong - he just prevented an unpleasant and volatile situation from escalating, which to me seemed the sensible thing to do. Why he felt the need to apologise is beyond me. And Issy did what most other people would probably do in that situation by trying to persuade them to calm things down.
