Rather than posting in the fanclub thread it would be better to send the thread starter a private message (click the username then 'Send a private message...')

The fanclub thread are supposed to be for positive posts only, and I think removal requests makes them look a bit negative.

If this is in reference to the Cameron club I think posters moaning about how it is run by its owner looks far more negative than a simple 'remove me please'

No?

Partly, but it happens every series.

People join fanclubs of housemates they like the look of at the start, then decide after a few weeks they don't like them anymore.

Is that not part of the show in general though?

You go through stages of emotions and your views change, I see your point in one way but disagree asking to be removed being branded as negative personally.

Fan clubs should've been banned until a week into the series years ago

Ridiculous picking a favourite the second they step out of the car

Again I disagree.

It's hilarious to watch some of the falls from grace in the form of fan clubs. I remember Wolfy's was massive and then it turned into a mass exodus hahah

Agree with this, Pauline was the best example of this, a stampede in, and then a stampede out :joker:

But it's just absurd, how can we judge them as housemates until we've got to know them for like a week :joker: then they can have their fall from grace

Agree with this, Pauline was the best example of this, a stampede in, and then a stampede out :joker:

The true Pozza stans stayed loyal when she turned out to be an even better housemate :hehe:

I can understand your points there Jack_

However, usually I take time to decide if I will join a fan thread or even if I ever do.
Then again sometimes, I see a housemate who I can identify with and if I feel I want to support them, then I have joined earlier.

In doing so, I have never all my years on tibb ever asked to be removed after making that choice.
In the main, not to cause time wasting for who runs it, if they are dedicated to it, or to cause any dismay to other supporters.

I respect totally fan threads, if I like another housemate I may go on and wish their supporters well, in evictions or final night.
I'd never even look in on fan thread of a housemate I didn't like at all.
Respecting the fans of that housemate on that thread.

Your point of a week before is a valid one and I could agree fully on that.
We are nearing the end of this series soon and so it is vital the supporters get behind their faves. If anyone has a fave that is.

What also is vital is it is run by someone with dedication to it and who actually also fully supports said housemate.
Not much point in having one at all if who runs it doesn't share the members of its support for the housemate too.

If fan threads are there, they should be there for the solid supporters of housemates, run by a solid supporter of whichever housemate that may be.

I also fully agree a pm to request removal however.
As this thread indicates as a better way of doing things.

I have tried pm'ing members to get them to remove Nicky91 from various fan clubs, with some success

The endless requests to leave do make them a bit negative.

I agree that fanclubs are ****ing daft before a week or so in.

Some people are like Dictators. They don t like it or allow others to have a different opinion. Its usually those who are nastiest who back nastiest that are like that.
