View Full Version : A structured flowing series <3

I've really enjoyed how this series feels so structured and flows like an actual series. It hasn't been the MOST dramatic (we've had conflict most nights but no stand out moments) but it's been an interesting watch since we haven't actually had a structured flowing series since 2014 (at least it was largely consistent) and it's been even longer since we've had a natural series (2012). BB16 seemed to re-launch every Friday night following the evictee making their exit with a brand new twist Emma would tease, BB17 was quite disjointed (The Others, then the boyfriends, then Annihilation) and BB18 was quite inconsistent and had 2 different sets of newbies ruining it's natural flow, as well as a double, a triple and multiple backdoor evictions.

It's also nice to not have to worry about tuning into a highlights show and watching your favourite get evicted through the diary room because of a task etc.

It’s been kinda boring with the contrived gameplay talk and the two best housemates going so early

I'm so pleasantly surprised we're getting full nominations every week (bar week 1), every eviction show I'm bracing myself for the announcement of some unnecessary twist

And the gamechanger and app poll are fine since they've been consistent factors each week and actually add extra unpredictability to it all

It's a shame it took them so long to Ease Up On The Twists Man™

The boot order has been terrible but otherwise I agree that it's been a pretty solid, natural series

Agreed.

Which is why, looking back, I can at least give BB15 credit. Although they mucked around a lot (Ashleigh and Toya facing the public vote in weeks they shouldn't have done in theory, for example) they at least provided structure.

I don't mind contrived elements to the format as long as they are set in stone and not messed with depending on which housemates face the public vote or how the ratings are going on that particular week.

I think BB would have ultimately fared much better on Channel 5 than it has done if they had actually executed their twists that they've implemented each series since 2013 but made them a structured part of the format.

We love a structured flowing series with pleasure, depth, elasticity and normal humidity!

The series is awful anyway. Bring back the messy twists so Kay can return

there's been structure but the conflict and drama hasn't even been entertaining to watch, like none of it is super dramatic or is funny / witty, it's just snide and bitchy comments which never amount to anything

structure wise, task wise and producer wise it's been the best in a long time but the cast just isn't good enough to match it
