View Full Version : Akeem and Hussain’s friendship is very endearing

I thought it’d be hard to see a vulnerable side to Hussain considering he came in with this persona and to cause arguments but it seems to actually come out and be nurtured when with akeem. He’s a true friend. Brings out your best traits and doesn’t use you at your most vulnerable to fill you with venemous vitriol, unlike certian other housemates in there :hee:

Unfortunately Hussain will be going home , when people see Hussain they see "aggressive" "trouble maker" . But Lewis has been doing far worse things for the past 5 weeks and he gets away with it and when they see Lewis they see "handsome" " goodlooking" " awww he's soo emotional & deep bless him" :bored: .

If only hussain was conventionally attractive. Maybe he’d be the bookie favourite

Lol no akeem is a snake who would tell anybody they want to hear to gain their trust - he knows that to get to the final he has to piss off as few people as possible - how can he defend husseins behaviour, show's pretty poor character from him

But Lewis looks like a homeless Russel brand wtf is attractive about that  , it proves you can literally put a 6pac and long hair on a lizard and it would instantly be seen as "beautiful" .

Absolutely agree, Elliot. I'm finding it very endearing and genuine too, as I am the developing relationship between Akeem and Tomasz. The clip tonight when all three of them were outside together was one of those special moments in BB, where you see the genuine people behind the personas, and the warmth of true companionship and growing friendship.

And you are so right in your last comment. There is nothing toxic in these relationships, and no unhealthy connections. There is even a very pleasant relationship developing between Hussain and Cameron, and it is noticeable how kind, considerate, open and rational Cameron can be when separated from negative and paranoid influences. I think we will see this separation increasing over the following weeks, or a very different Caneron if the separation is forced on Friday.

These relationships are one of the reasons I wish Hussain was staying, as I would really like to watch these relationships develop. And I would much rather watch this warmth and humour between housemates than the negative, poisonous and draining example of a relationship that BB has been focusing on for so long.

Imagine being so critical of good nature

good nature is being able to see through the fake people.

He even said he's keeping people at arm's length! how is that good nature?!

Sadly this is the case- only a miracle could save him now.

I find it difficult to comprehend how so many people can only see Hussain in a very one dimensional way. There are negative aspects of Hussain's character, and I don't deny that, but there are so obviously many endearing characteristics there, yet these seem to be filtered out by those who don't want to see them.

I don’t understand, in another thread you were praising Zoe for her good nature and avoiding confrontation, in your words by nature. Akeem does the same thing and is fake and slimy?

I disagree with your perception of good nature. It is so much more than being able to see through fake people.

However, if that's your interpretation, he must have a good nature, as he is able to see through Lewis.....

It’s such a shame. People are starting to take akeems kindness for weakness not only on the show but by the public, and Hussain is being called every bad name under the sun. It’s shocking the absurd standard these people are held to whereas others are not, namely Lewis.

I’m so over supporting people for entertainment this series because there’s just so many unlikable toxic people at the forefront of it. I’d dread to have any of them as friends or burden anyone I knew with their friendship. In other series with people like Charley Uchea or Nikki Grahame for example, they were dramatic but at their core good hearted people that shines past the spectacle, albeit maybe slightly misguided. Then you have people like Lewis, who are the sort of people to be in a mad mood one day, and as such make everyone around them be in a bad mood intentionally. It’s a shame anamelia and Kay are gone because they were a blend of interning and likeable people. At this point I hope sian or akeem walks away victorious, tho anyone but Zoe Cameron and Lewis would do.

I like, and have liked, quite a few housemates in there, and find them interesting and entertaining in a positive way. I'm am able to recognise both the positive and negative in housemates I like, and in those I don't.

Like you, I'm finding the focus on negativity has gone too far this series, and I really can't understand the inability of people to see the different characteristics in each housemates. Lewis has infected the house with his poisonous influence and paranoia, and it's almost as if he's also infected the general public.

I actually found that moment in the bedroom genuine! . It's obvious Akeem has bonded with him and i like how he's gone against the grain instead of following the crowd :clap1: .

Yes, it was so genuine and touching, and I agree that it was obvious they've formed a bond, just as they both have with Tomasz.

I'm liking Akeem more and more as time goes on. He's always been a good guy, but this week has revealed more and more about his character that is admirable.

And he has certainly been his own person in that house, and has been calm, controlled and true to himself, no matter how much crap he has had thrown at him.

The humour he has shown in his relationship with Tomasz has also provided some light entertainment which had made me laugh.

He has so many positive qualities.

It's sad to see Akeem being used .

Hussain is getting replacing Isabella with Akeem as his backup .

Akeem just wants a friend in the house ... he thinks he can trust Hussain but when he hears all the boos for Hussain tonight Akeem will quickly realise that he's made a big mistake allying himself with such an unpopular person :)

Akeem isn't the one constantly plotting and getting paranoid and anxious about how things are being perceived on the outside world . So i doubt he cares if Hussain get's booed.

Pretty sure you're confusing that with Cameron & Lewis , and i thought they weren't allowed to boo or cheer anymore? . Last week when Kenny got evicted the crowd was silent! .

..it was a bit awkward though.....the handshake, that is...and watching Akeem a bit out of his depth at Hussain being so shaken and stirred but trying to say the right thing...

....Akeem is just such a positive and lovely person......he’s the yang to Lewis’ ying....so underestimated in the much needed balance he creates..(...and much resented by Lewis...)...how dare Akeem try to spoil his darkness...

I didn't find it awkward, and I thought Akeem handled it well. To me, the handshake was the most endearing moment- I interpreted it as Akeem showing a true appreciation of the honesty Hussain had shown, as well as for the genuine friendship and respect being expressed for him. I was touched by Hussain's words and feelings, and by Akeem's response.

As you've said, Akeem is such a lovely, positive person and so underestimated. He has so many positive qualities.

He clearly felt bad ,especially knowing Akeem could of been blamed . I like how Akeem wasn't bothered though as he knows it's just a game :joker: . He's such a nice guy .

...it was endearing and awkward at the same time...I mean awkward...in how they were both stretched out in their arms because neither of them I feel or hubby/touchy type people...which also makes it sweet, you know..but awkward at the same time, if that makes sense.....

..Akeem really is the yang to Lewis’ yin...No matter how competitive Tomasz has been with the coins...?..he’s never judged him because he sees so many positives in his character as well...Lewis will see a negative in someone and that negative is the only thing he’ll judge someone on...

yeah, Hussain maybe doesnt express himself well sometimes, but i felt he was played like a fiddle by lewis and Isabella (don't even get me started on Isabella). I could see raw frustration in Hussain, and he knew that Akeem would listen to him rationally, and guess what, he did.

..I’m finding Isabella quite difficult tbh...she seems to be very self entitled...she was so shocked she could have been nominated ...why would anyone have had a reason to nominate her...she’s been nothing but lovely...and she keeps telling Hussain..(..and us..)...how lovely she is...I mean we know she is because she keeps telling us.....she went to Brooke to find out if Brooke was ok with her..?...she wants to make sure that everyone is ok with her and they aren’t nominating her...she knows that Hussain has played it all wrong, she knows he’s blown it so she’s now publicly broken off the ‘alliance’ and is publicly ingratiating herself with the person who holds the most house influence..Lewis...a great move to be a part of the negative conversations ..rather than a subject of them..?...

..is how I’m seeing her atm anyway...
