View Full Version : Lewis: Why Didn't He do something???

He's pretty much confirmed everything Hussain said about him by just sitting and smirking like a pathetic wimp ! .
Didn't he say earlier on that he "might not be able to keep his cool" with Hussain yet when the perfect opportunity comes up for him to do something ,he just sit there and stares at Hussain like a dummy! .
And before people say Lewis was ignoring him and blah blah , why didn't he atleast tell Zoe to calm down and he could of stood up and held her back ??:suspect: , he enjoyed seeing her kick off like a guest from Jeremy kyle show . He had such glee in his face when Zoe went charging across the garden like a chav wanting her fish & chips for free ! .
He just sat there and made little digs about hussain under his breath . This is dejavu with Lewis G all over again :bored: . Lewis has no balls ! .

What would he have gained from replying to hussein?
A fight, a resolution, a hug? a friend?
No. he'd have gained nothing.
why invest energy into something where the end-game is pointless?
At the end of the day, Husseins issue with Lewis can't be rectified because it comes from a place of personal hatred and jealousy - nothing has particularly happened between either of them for him to have so much dislike towards him.
He said he might not be able to keep his cool, and he kept his cool, kudos to him.
And if you watch the show back you can hear lewis say 'what is zoe doing' she was uncontrollable.
If anything, it takes the bigger man to not react to such a goading gimp

As i said he could of atleast stopped Zoe from making a fool of herself !! , he enjoyed every bit of that spectacle . He never even told her to calm down or anything instead he grinned like a mentally challenged Cheshire cat  .
Actually the way Lewis behaved in that HL show reminds me of Speidi & John james merged together! .

That's absurd... sometimes when faced with an idiot, all you can do is laugh. I laughed too, couldn't believe where it came from, last thing I would want to do is give him the satisfaction of a reaction.
Zoe was uncontrollable... we're really reaching for reasons to hate lewis even when he was in the right in that situation

Really was she?? hmm funny how Cian did a better job of trying to calm her down though  , Before the mad cow did something stupid :nono: . While Lewis sat on his arse enjoying it all like he was watching his favourite netflix boxset! with popcorn! . He didn't even strain himself by saying a word to Zoe .

Agreed .... If Lewis had reacted it could easily have turned nasty probably resulting in him being kicked out ..
He was right to stay calm imho
Hussain knows he'll be unpopular and caused an incident to get some airtime and maybe get some more votes ,
He's the only housemate over the years that I actually hate !!
Hope he gets slapped around a few times when he's out clubbing and it knocks a bit of humility and sense into him

On topic I don't get that either, especially considering he was the one that mumbled things about Hussain that started the argument in the first place.
Also an interesting thing is that both Lewis G and Hussain have both wanted to clear the air with Lewis F, yet he keeps/kept saying that he doesn't have a problem with them when we all know that he is/was clearly lying to their faces on those occasions.

Even if he thinks he's letting Hussain shoot himself in the foot , he never stopped Zoe . It took Cian to do something and try and stop things . And exactly! , if anything Lewis geared Zoe up for this fight and i didn't like how they cornered Issy in the kitchen , Brooke's snappy behaviour was ridiculous and just made her look like a tool bag .
Lewis started the whole thing by telling Issy about what Hussain is supposed to of said about her and Lewis . It's obvious he enjoys causing fights and watching fights . I honestly think he's sly in the way he goes about things.

Zoe's been drip fed the hatred and paranoia during her repeated conversations with Lewis- she has lost control over her own thoughts. He wanted allies for when he was ready to engineer and manipulate this incident in the way you describe. Who's the weasel?

Defending someone just because they're your friend isn't a valid point though? If anything it just makes Zoe incredibly biased in the situation which knocks her down a few points imo, and wanting to punch Hussain and Lewis did nothing to try and stop her means that Hussain wins the argument in my view as he didn't display or encourage that kinda behaviour.

Would of been very very interesting if nobody stopped Zoe and if she actually hit Hussain , and got herself removed . I wonder what Lewis' reaction would of been then? :suspect: would his cheshire grin drop then? . He'd probably blame Hussain for Zoe turning violent :bored: .

You weren't. She was being used to trigger the incident that later occurred. She was a pawn in his game.
And sadly, Hussain is right about Lewis not really caring for her, and he will discard her as if she is nothing in a few days time. I think that's part of what made Hussain so exasperated- that he knew the feelings Lewis had for Isabella weren't genuine, and she would get hurt.
And then Lewis gets into bed with her, to demonstrate that he has been triumphant in winning the 'prize'. But she will be crying and confused within the next few days when he drops her like a hot brick, and she can't understand why.

I'm surprised he didn't bash Cian for holding Zoe back , but it's probably coming the next morning .
And i've read your other posts and it's exactly how i feel with the whole Issy showmance situation and Lewis using his so called friends as chess pieces.

She's already been seen as a problem and has been criticised by Lewis numerous times already. He's already paranoid about her. ...he did do something, he did so much...what he did was help to create and nurture the mistrust and paranoia in the house...why would he need to do anymore if that anymore would risk seeing him in a bad light just before eviction night...he does recognise self control, it’s apparently not such a stranger to him as it seems to have been on other occasions...his speech to the public had been interrupted in full flow...but wow, what a gift he was being given around him now...he just sat back enjoying it is what he did...

Following on from this point, Ammi, it was lovely to see Cameron's interactions with other housemates in recent episodes, and it was noticeable how much more relaxed, rational and happy he seemed. It was like a darkness had been lifted.
He also showed lots of positive characteristics- his understanding of Hussain's feelings, his compassion for Cian, friendliness towards Akeem, his kindness and loyalty towards Tomasz- which proved what a lovely guy he is when apart from negative influences.
I actually like Cameron a lot when he is with other housemates, but just as with Zoe, Lewis brings out the worst in him.

..yeah Garfie...without the shadow of Lewis, I think we would have seen a different Cameron...others encourage the positive in him..(..and I don’t think he’s a naturally positive person....)...but they encourage positivity to the surface...Lewis stifles and suppresses it and sadly he’s the biggest influence on Cameron, Cameron adores him...the fact that he adores such negativity as Lewis is...shows his ability to see the best in people...I loved how he hugged Cian when Cian was so distraught and upset with the whole eruption..it was a natural affection and protection/comfort, type thing...it’ll be interesting to see in the aftermath what Lewis says to Cameron...whether he’ll spin Cian into a negative of shouldn’t have become involved, etc...and then interesting to see Cameron absorbing it all...again..and again.....

Not really
We all know Hussain has shot himself in the foot , and nobody said he was perfect but atleast he's honest and he confronted Lewis . And Hussain has owned up that he's probably not conducted himself in the best way.
Lewis has a huge problem with Hussain and kept whining in the kitchen to Issy about him , yet when Hussain AGAIN gives him the chance to say something he just sit's grinning while muttering under his breath  .

..yeah Garfie...without the shadow of Lewis, I think we would have seen a different Cameron...others encourage the positive in him..(..and I don’t think he’s a naturally positive person....)...but they encourage positivity to the surface...Lewis stifles and suppresses it and sadly he’s the biggest influence on Cameron, Cameron adores him...the fact that he adores such negativity as Lewis is...shows his ability to see the best in people...I loved how he hugged Cian when Cian was so distraught and upset with the whole eruption..it was a natural affection and protection/comfort, type thing...it’ll be interesting to see in the aftermath what Lewis says to Cameron...whether he’ll spin Cian into a negative of shouldn’t have become involved, etc...and then interesting to see Cameron absorbing it all...again..and again.....
It was a beautiful moment between Cameron and Cian, and I just loved what I saw in Cameron at that moment.
You know I said the same thing in another thread about how Lewis will criticise and target Cian again for getting involved, and maybe suggesting Cian's distress was fake to get airtime, just to build distrust again. I honestly believe that if Lewis had not sown negative seeds in Cameron's head about Cian before, they would have repaired their friendship at the time and it would have developed.
Cameron is young and naive, and is so in awe of Lewis that I don't think he recognises how negative his influence has been in many ways. However, I do think the first signs of Cameron detaching himself have begun to emerge, and I hope it continues. I think Cameron would blossom without Lewis there, so for Cameron, I really hope Lewis is evicted tonight.
...he didn’t try to goad him into a fight, he tried to goad him into speaking up and not slinking back and have others speak for him..he tried to goad him into taking his own responsibility...rather than just plant all of the seeds and let others be his voice...

I don't care who leaves tonight. My point is, Hussain was trying to goad Lewis into a fight. And apparently that's perfectly acceptable? Wow!
And it was also ok for Zoe to throw her weight around where it DIDN'T concern her ?? , and for Lewis to egg things on by smirking at Hussain & Zoe ?

Hussain will leave tonight unfortunately. His anger is borne out of frustration for Isabella and as he admitted himself some jealousy, Isabella is literallly sleeping with the enemy, to get into his bed last night after all that had happened shows she is only out for herself, Hussein has blown his chance over her .. shame

....yeah it’s so sad that one person can plant so many seeds of paranoia and negativity in so many..but I guess, understandable as well with that type of pressure cooker environment ..the paranoid seeds would be there anyway, all he had to do was nurture them and it’s rare that we see such an extreme of negativity in a person’s character...he’s had less effect on the more balanced and positive people but if it’s been a donkey on the edge..he’s pushed them over the edge completely.....

Are you actually even reading people's posts properly?
Firstly, no-one has said that what Hussain did was perfectly acceptable- in fact, even as a Hussain fan, I have stated in a number of posts that I didn't approve of his actions, as have other Hussain fans. What people are discussing is how the situation unfolded, the triggers for it and the reasons behind Hussain's behaviour. That doesn't mean people are approving of it, but that they are tying to understand it.
Secondly, the point about goading has been addressed in detail by Ammi and others, so it would just be going round in circles to repeat all the points made regarding that. Making the same point numerous times isn't going to make people change their views.

Cherie, you are so right. She is literally sleeping with the enemy.
And the sad thing is that she doesn't even realise she has been used as a pawn in a game. She is no more than a trophy for Lewis to use in order to demonstrate to Hussain that he has triumphed over him.
I am so sad that Hussain has sacrificed his place in the house for her.
..I think she does realise...I think she’s happy to be that pawn and has created herself as that pawn..because she knows where the house power lies...Hussain’s way of bringing down the house power was never going to work...snuggling under its wing is what she’s doing, trying to become a part of it...
..I struggle with respect or understanding with anyone who can be spoken to as Lewis spoke to her in such a derogatory way...and then say...awwwwww, but isn’t he gorgeous though, just look at that lovely face and that body...

Don't Ammi. This wouldn't sit comfortably with me either. But I don't want him to win, and can't believe he will. If he stays, I hope he will bring about his own downfall, and that someone like Tomasz, Akeem or Cian triumphs. Surely, the longer he stays, the more people's eyes will be opened, and consequently the positive will win over the negative.
Am I just being hopelessly optimistic or foolishly idealistic? I'd like to think not, as I can't allow the dismay I would feel to emerge at this point.

Is this really part of a game plan, or is she just naively and foolishly being swept along by her attraction to him?
I can't quite decide at this stage.

Mmm......... a more intelligent, articulate and devious Helen Wood? Interesting theory. I hope not for the final series.
I really don't mind if the winner has played a game, but it needs to be someone who has played the game with decency, joy and consideration of others, rather than with negativity and manipulation.

And before people say Lewis was ignoring him and blah blah , why didn't he atleast tell Zoe to calm down and he could of stood up and held her back ??:suspect: , he enjoyed seeing her kick off like a guest from Jeremy kyle show . He had such glee in his face when Zoe went charging across the garden like a chav wanting her fish & chips for free ! .

Sorry Mock.
I have to disagreee and hate doing so.
Hussain as to Lewis cannot be reasoned with.
From the minute Hussain went in, he has said his mission was to destroy Lewis and get him out any way he could...
Both up for eviction, creating a massive argument which may or may not have got physical possibly.
Would have been an ideal situation for Hussain to achieve that aim.
He doesn't want to sort anything out with Lewis in the slightest.
When confronted by an obsessed, jealous, volatile, near hysterical odious creep like Hussain as he was last night, just after being the same with Isabelle too.
The best thing to to is not rise to a thing they say.
Those that got involved, chose to do so.
Lewis was the target of Hussain.
In a conflict either the target or the one on the offensive needs to be removed from the situation.
Hussain was wrong re Isabelle and then going to Lewis too in my view.
After his weird controlling argument with Isabelle he should have left all there.
He then got all he deserved as to it all blowing up and falling back on him.

People seem to overlook that Hussain is trying to control Isabelle and tell her who she can interact with, she said he is making her time in the house unbearable,so how come he gets a free pass to be an asshole?

That's absurd... sometimes when faced with an idiot, all you can do is laugh. I laughed too, couldn't believe where it came from, last thing I would want to do is give him the satisfaction of a reaction.
Zoe was uncontrollable... we're really reaching for reasons to hate lewis even when he was in the right in that situation
When I looked at Lewis I thought he looked very frightened. He had a rictus grin and he was submissively slumped trying to make himself look as small and as hunched as possible.
Zoe was uncontrollable and it wasn’t a good look was it? I think she wanted to show Lewis that she liked him (she knows she could only ever have him as a friend and only whilst on TV). I think it is possible that Zoe’s illogical dislike if Sian is because she thought Lewis would like her since she is very attractive. Zoe has thrown Cian under the bus because she is so consumed with getting closer to Lewis.
Lewis, who is so verbally loud and demanding and manipulative normally should have tried to diffuse the situation with Zoe but he saw he could come out of this well if he stayed quiet.
We have a Machivalean player in Lewis and an insecure but nevertheless loud and awkward player in Hussain. Neither have many attractive qualities but at least Hussain has the courage of his convictions and speaks out. I predicted yesterday on another thread that Hussain might cause a big scene in order to allow himself to leave through the back door before his inevitable eviction and that panned out last night. He may still walk today.

That's exactly how I read it too, Kazanne. Clearly annoyed because Lewis didn't fall into Hussain's trap by giving him a smack across the chops or Cian didn't let Zoe fly at Hussain - resulting in either one being removed.
Hussain desperately wanted a reaction from L to make him look bad and didn't get it - and that's what hurt the most. This was his last throw of the dice and it backfired miserably.
