I don't think Akeem is game playing per se and I do think he's genuinely a "nice" sort of guy, but nice doesn't always translate to integrity... In general he doesnt handle conflict well and so, yes, he tailors his opinions and tells "White lies" to appease people and avoid conflict. There's nothing particularly wrong with that if it's the type of person you are, but on Big Brother where everything is on camera, it can look a bit two faced.
