View Full Version : Hussain: Emma interviewing Hussain
Was not impressed with her this interview, she really went into it with the intention to belittle him I think and make him take total responsibility for all wrongdoing. She said something like 'you really had it in for Lewis which was strange because the rest of us couldn't see what the problem was'. Er no Emma you don't speak for everyone and plenty of us can see the problem with Lewis :inamood:
I also found it strange how big a problem she clearly had with Hussain when she loved Lewis G

It was an odd interview as she kept telling him his gameplan was ****e, which it was but I dont think it was her place to tell him that, and she kept labouring the point, that said he came across as a lovely young man

Hussain got the interview he deserved
She was swearing, she said either fook or fooking, very unprofessional for a host of a family show. She should be ashamed of herself.

It was amiable enough. Hussain knew he'd messed up his chances of surviving.

It’s not a family show
She has let some people in the past off that were complete nightmares, but laid into a young lad. Not her finest hour
It wasn't that bad, she did point out he has a nice, interesting side to him and it was a shame we didn't see it. Lets face it he did act like a d**k when entering the house, nothing really likeable about him at all. I feel like too many people have sided with him because of their and his hatred of Lewis, personally i think both are utter nob heads. Both are little men trying to be big men, their 'power struggle' was pathetic from start to finish!

Annoying as I liked Hussain but he didn't do himself any favours. Nor did he paint lewis's issues out clearly which he should have done. All bark but no bite when it came to it.
Tomasz, Sian and Akeem to win! They are the only ones who can see through lewis and cameron

I thought it was a good interview. I liked the fact she asked him why he targeted Lewis...and he said he had watched him before going in...because I could never work out what he had actually done. She also pointed out to him what sort of reaction would he expect from the housemates walking into the house like the BIG I AM...it was like he hadn't thought it through.
He played a bad game and he mugged himself off...glad he's gone.

She's not a good interviewer; she asks a question, then, before the interviewee can reply, gives several possible answers and expects them to pick one.
And the "interview" seemed to be all about Lewis, anyway.

Hussain decided to make his BB journey all about Lewis.

It was a sh*t interview but its exceptionally rare for Emma to give a good interview so... Shrug.
She's a decent presenter but she is an awful interviewer. Like really, really bad.

Agree, I know he's not very popular on here but I actually think Rylan does much better interviews

Agree, I know he's not very popular on here but I actually think Rylan does much better interviewsRylan can at times be a bit defensive of the show / production, but he's always fair and balanced when it comes to the housemates themselves and trying to understand why people might not have clicked and what the issues are on both sides. Emma has such clear favourites that it sometimes gets almost nasty in her interviews :umm2:.

Did she really say that? Pfft.

Yeah Rylan at least understands the purpose of an interview, Emma seems to go into them with a clear agenda and either fawns over them or tries to show them up and expose them. It's partly why I actually find some of the better interviews are with those housemates who aren't actually the biggest characters because Emma doesn't have such strong opinions on their time in the house
Did she really say that? Pfft.
Just watched back and she said 'Weve got to talk about Lewis - what was the problem? Because we can't put our finger on it' as if it was ridiculous to have a problem with Lewis
Has anyone beaten Hussain up yet ??
Surely it's only a matter of time .. hopefully..

I am not a Emma fan and think her interviews are abysmal, however the Hussain interview did seem to visit all of his failures.
What it did not address was his nastiness directed at Lewis from his entrance. It seemed he had viewed Lewis, formed an opinion on him, his popularity and had directed all the venom he could muster because of this, his jealousy over Isabella and because of this he lost all credibility he ever had
It was visited in sections but not in totality, which contributed to his failing to oust Lewis.

Because there was no problem for him.. he gunned for him for no reason! you can't go into a house of people hating someone for no reason and not expect people to judge you for it.
She gave him the interview he deserved - none of the housemates called out his behaviour nearly as much as they should have and the inbred can go back to his hole now.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Your comments here say a lot more about you than they do about Hussain.

I agree with most of this post.
Totally unprofessional imo, she may as well have got her Pom Poms out.

...to be fair to Emma though.....Hussain’s time in the house wasn’t shown to be about him and his experience and who he was..in targeting Lewis...(...whether for good reason or not..)...he dismissed himself and the many dimensions to his own personality...it would have been more interesting to get to know Hussain as a person rather than how he felt about Lewis ...most of his conversations with other housemates were less about himself and more about his feelings about Lewis...we did get glimpses of him as with the making up conversation with Zoe..but they were just very small glimpses is the thing...and that reflected in his interview...a very small glimpse of Hussain and a very large focus on what his time focused on, which is Lewis and his dislike of him...it’s understandable as to his dislike...but why make your time in there about the person you dislike rather than making it about yourself and you interacting with those you do like and want to get to know more up close and personal, rather than just on a screen in having observed the house...
..if he was ‘The King’ and was given his king moment in being chosen to go into the house...then seize that king moment for yourself because you deserve it...don’t make it about anyone else...especially the person you like least in the house...

‘You came in and had a problem with lewis’ was so cringe because you can tell when she interviews Lewis she’ll be all over him with praise ugh she’s really testing my admiration for her with for the Roxanne interview
