Probably a good thing they are finally canning it. The show is running scared. Afraid of today's overzealous politically correct SJW crowd. First getting rid of Ellis for something she wrote 5 years ago as a kid and now with getting rid of Lewis for who knows what.

Grow a set of balls. When/if this show ever comes back, fire the producers and Emma Willis, and bring back the show with its original intent. A social experiment that shows the good and more importantly the bad without everybody walking on pins and needles because they are worried about what they may say or how it may be interpreted.

I agree...and if they are vilified for it then so be it. Let the public decide.

This Lewis removal a couple of weeks before the final in particular looks really dodgy when they won't show us what he said.

They removed Ellis for offensive comments she said 4 years ago on twitter so i think it was fair to remove Lewis for his offensive comments.

Neither ejections were fair that's the whole point of this thread.

Ellis’s ejection was unfair yes... can’t say Lewis’s was because we don’t have a clue what he said.

They just said unacceptable language which was why Ellie was ejected so it was only fair to eject him.

And the worst thing about it is the rumours keep changing , some people on youtube are saying Lewis joked about "raping Brooke" , some are saying he called Akeem the " P word with the c word attached to it" , some are saying he called Tomasz " a fat confused F word" .

A few keep saying it's the Auschwitz comment but that doesn't make sense , they keep saying he meant to say outfits but said Auschwitz instead wtf  :conf: .

And that's the problem with not showing the audience what was said as we'll not truly know what he was removed for.

If any of the rumours are true then I hope that it was a slip of the tongue with the Auschwitz comment as at least it wasn't meant to be malicious from him if he meant to say outfits.

But what I mean is if it was unfair to eject Ellis then it was also unfair to eject Lewis.

Im sure he didn't say anything near as bad as "**** the p@ki terrorist bast@rds".

The whole point is neither should have been ejected, Channel 5 stepped in way to soon for fear of public backlash and decisions like that is what have ultimately killed the show over the years.

Remember when housemates were allowed to pretty much say whatever they wanted but had to suffer the consequences on eviction night.

Lets hope this snowflake phase fades out as quickly as it came in....****ing Millennial's.

That's what i hate and it's driving me mad that they won't show us :fist:.

I find it really hard to believe this is what he said though , and even if he did how do you say that in a "slip of a tongue" way .

Even this rumour was all jumbled up as people thought he was joking about the Holocaust and others are saying he made a prison joke about the outfits, and now it's as if he literally mistakenly said Auschwitz instead of outfits which again makes no sense :conf::facepalm: .

Maybe not... but at least the show was consistent with removals which is rare well kind of because if they have a problem with what people did in the past then lewis still being there was questionable since he was arsonist

Except for Emily she got ejected for saying N

That actually makes it less consistent. Lewis actually committed a criminal offence and wasn't kicked out for it.

Ellis said offence words also on the outside when she was a child and got kicked out for it.

Its a mess.

Lewis admitted his past though. CRC would have exposed them anyway..he didn't deny them. I guess Ellis not owning them and then them coming to light on the first night exposed their flaws.
Emily was wrongly expelled IMO...she didn't use it in a calculated way but her pal (can't remember who it was) used it against her knowing that...so they had to react.

Lets hope this snowflake phase fades out as quickly as it came in....****ing Millennial's.Exactly. It is getting so bad it reminds me of the thought police in the book 1984. Kids and young adults say stupid **** all the time, it is how they learn and move on from it that makes the difference. Now they just kick them out because they are afraid of the SJW backlash that may come if they don't. Totally spinless.

From their (C5's) point of view they don't need the hassle of a backlash.

It's the result of years of overzealous fans and haters realising they could use complaints - to Ofcom, sponsors, the channel etc. - to influence events in the house.

Plus of course the culture of complaints, and instant judgements we have on social media.

I meant like removing both for offensive language was the most consistent thing they did which isn’t hard because they are terrible at being consistent but obviously they need to work on it a lot which is why i said kind of its all bit of a mess and awful production

Exactly. Hence the phrase "Live and learn". These snowflakes aren't creating a more positive world its putting people in a bubble who are gonna be ****ing useless when the real world hits them in the face and they don't have the right mental skills to deal with it.

This overly pc culture isn't helping anyone its just creating an emotionally retarded future generation (oops did I say a naughty word?).

Do they even ask what they said on social media? She was 15 so she wouldn’t remember most likely otherwise would have deleted them before going in, some how people searched for it but it’s still questionable why Lewis was still there if they have issues with what people did in the past

I agree that it's all bizarre about the Auschwitz rumour.

It's why Endemol/Ch5 should tell us what he said that was so bad that it got him ejected while Zoe is still sitting in the house after trying to punch Hussain.

You can't say anything on the show anymore. There's always someone complaining over the smallest thing.
If another channel brings it back, they will need to grow some balls and to hell with the moaners.
Geordie Shores, they show everything and they don't care about the ofcom brigade. I admire them for that.

Geordie Shores, they show everything and they don't care about the ofcom brigade. I admire them for that.To be fair, the structure of Geordie Shore (etc.) is very different and they're condensed down from lots more material... Plus all of the cast is contracted. Which means if any of them were to slip up and say anything racist / antisemitic etc. then they would simply not show it, and the cast would be told to forget it happened and not to tell anyone about it. There's also no public vote element.

The problem BB has is that if someone says something "big n offensive" and they simply cut it from the show, they have to worry about people continuing to discuss it in the house, and also coming out later and mentioning it then people kicking off because they spent money voting for someone that they later find out has said something racist etc. and they would never have voted for them if they had known.
