I think there have been many examples but the worst IMO was the vile treatment of Gary Busey.

A lot of the Shilpa stuff, especially the worst things,, was behind her back where she couldn't hear it. And regardless of how sincere it was, everyone involved (bar Jack) apologized to Shilpa for the incident. She also had amazing patience so was able to put up with the harshest things said to her face. CBB18 is a month long singlehanded goading in people's faces incving provoking people with little conscience, rhyme or reason. If it aired during Channel 4 when the show was more popular, it would've had much more controversy.
This thread is about bullying. And while Shilpa was bullied, the main controversy came from stuff said ABOUT her where she couldn't hear, that's where the main controversies were. And that's not bullying. That's just vile gossip

People taking the piss out off her, making remarks about her culture etc is still bullying as well as racist. When Jade was going off on one, Shilpa asked Jo to say something but Jo and Danielle laughed right in front of her like mean girls. The Shilpa Shetty treatment was way more uncomfortable to watch than what Bear did. You must be having a laugh if Bear's antics would be more controversial than race row if it was aired on C4 :skull:

I'm not saying it's not bullying but what you've described is one argument Shilpa was involved in with several racism undertones. Everything else was behind her back that she didn't really know about and dirty looks given to her by Jack Twunt Tweed. I find it tamer because Bear bullied everyone, not just one person, and did it at least 30 or more times considering it was every HL show. I was just much more offended and physically repulsed than the Shilpa stuff overall

I remember there was so much nastyness & pot stirring that series , mainly from Grace & Lisa . Grace said some ignorant bitchy things ,she called Ashleign a "wigger" & called Sam a "shemale" . If that was today then she would of been removed. And Nikki would of been giving a formal warning for copying Grace .

Marnie flashing her boobs to Saira is a pretty tame example of sexual assault; the words were more harsh and uncalled for. Renee did a lot of that in the house though (the harsh words and most of what you listed besides sexual assault).. she substituted sexual assault with a bunch more belittling & threatening verbal assault when Bear never went that low to her or any of her friends.

Thing is, Shilpa was a young, fit, confident woman who could, and did, deal with Jade Goody and her cronies.
Busey was an old man with serious physical and mental problems due to head injuries. At one stage, the entire house was at him.
I still think it was the worst. Shahbaz is a close second.
I agree that was awful to watch and the bullying of Jodie wasn't nice, and crab eyes was awful aswell
