Well here we are
18 years, 42 series, 529 housemates.
Our show is no more after tonight. After so many headlines and so much spectacle its beyond sad to see it quietly slinking off the stage and out the back door.
No fanfare, no special tribute shows, nothing celebrations. Just gone...
This show has given me so much. I have watched since the Nasty Nick controversy of series 1. I have never missed a series
And when it ended on Channel 4 there was always a faint hope someone would pick it up.
Then Channel 5 proceeded to chase the Geordie Shore and TOWIE audiences and alienated the hard core fans who left by their millions.
Only this year, when they decided to do BB properly, do they finally get it right.
3 AMAZING seasons this years. Year of the woman is my fav celeb series to date, CBB22 was gold and now this final civilian series.
It didn't stand a chance with the late time slot. Most people weren't willing to stay up past 11 to watch.
The Geordie Bore viewers dwindled but the hardcore fans never returned.
And here we are.
Its so very sad to say goodbye. We haven't had a single year without BIG BROTHER since I was 13 years old.
I don't think it will return. I think its finally run out of steam. The tracks have run cold
Time to all move on I think
Ive been a member of TiBB since 2006/07
Its been a joy and a pain many times over the last 12 years, but always interesting. Providing me with hours of debate and discussion.
I have my Gin and Tonics ready for tonight and I will cry. But tommorow...I have a big new exciting life to look forward to.
Maybe one day BB will return and we can do this again...but for now.
Be good...if you cant be good, be good at it!
