I would think it is crossing some serious boundaries in the very least. If I felt like my partner was being defensive or dodgy when asked about it, then that would be burning red flag.

If they were two people who knew each other very well since childhood that they were more like old family, that would make some sense, even with the photos seemingly taken at different intervals... but I would still rely on women's intuition even with justification. They look way really engaged in each other. Like usually people don't just stare at each other like that... they look happy though?...
