View Full Version : Why didnt BB ever do a celeb vs civillians series?

After every theme under the sun being played and repeated over 18 years it seems odd they never ventured into this idea where they pit regular folk and celebs against each other. For fans its the best of both worlds and would obviously attract a bigger audience due to the massive interest in CBB over the years.

After they saw the huge success of CBB4 with Chantelle I am surprised they didn't give this a go.

Thoughts?

UBB was closest to that.

But really a full length series of celebs/civilians wouldn't have worked IMO.

Chantelle Houghton was a civilian and she entered the CBB house.

Also when Josie Gibson won BB she was ment to stay in the house and continue on with CBB. Josie quit after a short while because she was overwhelmed by all the celebrities and felt she didn't belong

Nah, that was her excuse. She left because of Nadia and Nikki's slagging off of John James and became paranoid he'd be banging someone else so had to leave immediately to see if he was genuine on the outside.

Because the civilians wouldn't really get a look in. The celebs would get the airtime and will be saved because of their fanbases on the outside.

I wouldn't like to see it personally - with CBB's standard of celebs (and civillians) it would be hard for viewers to tell which is which

Wasn't there a strangely persistent rumour that either BB17 or BB18 was going to be fully this, or am I hallucinating?

Both had casts that could pass as cbb lineups lol. Chanelle mccleary is more notorious than bloody Ben Jardine!

Not if they cast a beloved public sweetheart like Harry Amelia Martin or Laura Carer they wouldn't!

Chantelle Houghton was the only civillian in CBB4 and won against ten celebrities, so not necessarily
