I can explain why I dislike him if you like? he makes the show about himself far far too much. I stopped watching BOTS because it seemed to be 80% about Rylan and 20% about BB and the Housemates

Of course i get that people have different opinions, what i am saying is that a disproportionate number of people on this forum dislike him compared to the general opinion, which though still mixed, contains many many people who absolutely love him. This obviously includes Emma, most of the housemates (look how the housemates this year were saying how they love Rylan and cant wait to meet him), and last but certainly not least, Endemol, who went so far as to invite him to their Xmas party.

I dont think Rylan makes it about himself at all, I think its just that he has a very big personality and leans decidedly in the direction of campy and silly humor and that is just not everybodys cup of tea. For example Gearge Lamb had a much more ironic, sardonic, and droll sense of humor in his presentation of the companion show, and seemed to look down on the participants. Rylan makes it like a big gay party where he genuinely loves and worships the participants, and while myself and many others love and prefer that approach and humor its also going to turn off a lot of people who dont like that style of show, which is fair enough. Its just that even if you dont like his humor or presentation i feel he deserves more respect as a real champion of the show that is genuinely beloved by many. Hes actually a humble person who doesnt take himself too seriously and is constantly self effacing in his humor. He's an asset to the BB world and Im looking forward to seeing the next chapter and glad he's included.

I don't dislike him because he's gay or camp, I don't dislike that style of character/presenter at all. I love Graham Norton and Alan Carr for example. I just find Rylan so self obsessed and nauseating, I can't bare to watch him for more than 5 minutes.

Same. After the awful final BOTS it was clear that it should be scrapped if BB is revived.
I hope it's just him hearing rumours in general about BB, rather than specifically it involving him. Even if there's a deal in the motions, I don't believe they've gone into details about presenters and such.

I personally like Rylan but if/when the show is brought back I can totally see whoever picks it up not wanting him - he's too much of a 'channel 5' face of it and they'd probably be looking to make a fresh start. That's if there was a side show at all.

I think whoever takes it, will take a new presenter to differentiate it from C5 and C4 and in general the role of presenters/live shows/crowd will be minimized or even ditched completely. It will be a very stripped-down version of BB. Anyway, this is how I believe it will be in case Netflix takes it.

Emma's generally well received and was in the C4 and C5 eras so I can't see why they wouldn't bring her along for the next era.

I think the worst we'd get is an indoor studio right outside the house like BBUS. I think certain elements like the live crowd (and the live element in general) are too ingrained in the identity of BBUK for them to be ditched completely.
I'd imagine even if it's something like Netflix that takes it they'd be taking into account that it would have that element to it.
