Just heard about this, not really a shock. Sad for his family.

Hasn’t really shocked me, but RIP. A fine statesman and one of the last beacons of bipartisanship in those United States. He will be sorely missed.

Oh dear RIP :(

Totally shocking considering the amount of deaths in this week alone, but I also kind of expected it as he had been ill for quite some time already...

Yeah, that will be rough for his family.. However, at least during the holidays, more of his family will probably be together so that will help them through healing and grieving. Then New Years reflection...

RIP

94 is definitely a ripe old age, but yes I agree that it's a horrible time of year for anyone to lose family. Not that any time of year is nice, obviously, but I think when it's marked by an occasion like the festive period it can bring back those feelings year after year in a different way.

Interesting comments, from George H.W. Bush and Reagan, about Mexico from a debate in 1980. Very different from some of the recent rhetoric.

Sure
But you can not compare that 1980 time to now
there was more room , back then.
More money back then.
Also no Evil MS18 Gangs.

I don't a lot about it but I thought Reagan made a good point that it is in America's interests to have a friendly ally in Mexico, and if things aren't going well economically there immigration provides a safety valve that stabilises Mexico more.
