- The best C5 series
- Up there with some of the best from C4 also
- Only C5 series to actually feel like BB
- Only considered “dull” to some because of the manufactured and manipulated drama we’ve become used to
- Best graphics package & house design ever
- The ratings success was sabotaged due to C5!
- Nostalgia of the time of watching (14.9.18 - 5.11.18) has influenced some of my appinions x

The graphics and editing were great, yes, but the housemates were by and large horrible people and just not at all entertaining. Very little diversity in age, too, which meant the topics of conversation were pretty much limited to sex, attraction, second-guesing social media, and "fakeness". It became another draining series where the most cynical and miserable people were allowed to flourish because they were attractive or playing on a "just come out x" storyline. Even the ones that challenged these bores were mostly insufferable in some way or another (Anamelia, Lewis G, Isaac, Hussain, Sian).

One of the worst, by far. I would still even place 16 above it.

the real tea is that this was one of the worst, most forgettable and pointless series ever

also i love how all the complements towards this series are graphics (lol?) and production and nobody ever praises the housemates or like what actually happened.. the format doesn't carry this show like other tv shows, the housemates do. People don't hold series like bb6 and cbb17 to high acclaim because of good graphics?? bb17 for example had messy production and didn't stay true to the format, yet a lot of big brother superfans adore it hmm i wonder why

Seriously though, I thought it was a good series, no where near as good as the OP makes out, not the best Channel 5 one, but still very strong. It did go downhill in the last couple weeks because of Lewis F but the first month was probably my favourite chunk of Big Brother for years, it got the balance of fun and conflict really well, had some great tasks and a few really good housemates. I would say it is third best Channel 5 series but if not for Lewis F could have been second

The first two weeks were good but everything beyond that has been crap really.

I prefer 17 and 18 by a mile even though there wasn't consistent nominations, good tasks, manufactured drama, basically what C5 normally do.

Imho 19 would have worked better with the 17 and 18 cast, and dare I say it, 16's as well...

I’m conflicted because the first half was SO much better than the second half but even then I didn’t hate the second half, but understand/agree with why a lot of people disliked the series. :worry:
