I would have thought they would have done a who killed maya thing but i'm expecting she will be left for dead and will return in a few weeks or a few months. The next 8 episodes will return to the other stories (like Harriet's Stalker, Paddy, Chas and Bear if that's still happening) etc and then more events from tonight will unfold

The only characters featured last night that actually appear in any of the stories over the next two weeks are Leyla, David, Tracy and Rhona.

Davids and Rhonas upcoming stories are unrelated Eric is ran over by Megan texting and driving, Rhonas interviewing Jamie Tate for the vets, and Leyla and Tracy's could be related but are vague Leyla is caught in lies, both are rattled by a 'near miss'

Obviously Victoria hasn't completely disappeared off the face of the planet and she's still going to be in the village so they might subtly start off her story by her being more reluctant to leave the house/see people so it could play in to the Matty recovery story (and that's how Moira gets involved with Vic's attack)
