TBH I don't see the issue. It would only be the same as having like Brad Pitt or something - whos going to get more votes as well.

Of course some celebrities will have bigger fan bases than others, that's unavoidable. Besides Joe didn't even win??

social media personalities aren't celebrities, that is the whole point of this too

they just are famous for having loads of followers

I'd say yes, because I don't find them to be actual celebs.

However, for the reasons they give they shouldn't be banned, the actual point of the show is getting famous people as contestants. You can't stop signing some because their fame means their fans vote for them. It will happen to all of them, regardless of their reason for being famous.

:idc: :bored: it's simply to bring in the good ratings

quality celebs over quantity pls, and otherwise i'll happily give strictly a miss this year, since our dutch dwts already has 3 celebs who i do know and one who can still be good entertainment despite his old age :hee:

i'm sure however we will also have one from social media's but i don't care as long as it's a good mix between young and old celebs :D

It's very old fashioned to ban people who are famous online when the truth is some of these youtubers have more global reach and recognition than someone that's just been axed from a soap or a retired politcian or sportsperson.

People with big fanbases will always have an advantage, it's a dumb thing to complain about.

I think the "unfair advantage" they need to focus on is bringing on actual dancers and pretending they're novices.

those so called ''trained dancers'' never danced latin or ballroom anyway, so it isn't unfair advantage
