Sometimes you can be gripped for all the wrong reasons.

It was extremely well acted. But just poor taste all round.

Even if it wasn't, it was one too many child dramas for Ronnie and thus ruined her character from that point forward.

They do that with most of them. They find a successful thing with them and then become hooked on repeating it until the audience and the actor is sick to the back teeth.
