BB19 is aging badly for me

I feel the exact same way, I loved it at the time, amazing production for once i.e game changer back to basics format big coin were all great,

The only way i can describe this series is like a more modern more diverse BB4 which isnt a bad thing necessarily but there simply wasn't enough drama and friction. The only housemates from that series i would consider great housemates would be Lewis F, Anamelia, Tomasz and Cameron. Brooke and Kay were interesting and had a lot to bring to the table, and then the likes of Akeem and Sian were just incredibly dull and Sian is pretty much the modern day Elizabeth Woodcock

I love this series personally but i would not consider it a classic like 3 5 and 6. It set out with good intentions but it ultimately failed to have the similar type of drama like previous series like 17 had.

It started off good but then all the good people were going (Ana, Kay, Kenny, Isaac, Hussain etc) whilst Zoe & Lewis F stayed and ruined the show, and it just leaves a bitter taste when I think about it

The fact that it was the last series also left a bitter taste in my mouth as I knew BB would be ending for a while after BB19 which was slightly depressing.

AND the fact that C5 clearly disliked having to air the show. Even things such as evictions at 10pm dampened the mood whilst watching the show. Evictions on cold, late nights made the crowd so dull and depressing that I dreaded when the evictions cut to Emma’s parts :(

Lewis G was in a head-to-head against someone who was more popular than him, he would still be out. Tomasz also progressively became less popular, especially compared to Akeem/Cian who were the most likely to be runner-up to Cameron at the time. VTS wouldn't have made much of a difference apart from Anamelia.

Tbf I think it’s quite hard to predict how BB19 would’ve turned out if it were VTS. For example, if it was VTS then Anamelia wouldve definitely stayed past the first week. BUT then whoever she nominated might’ve altered who faced eviction that week, and she could’ve won the gamechanger (and lasted until atleast the 3rd eviction </3)

I’m sure production would’ve implemented a gamechanger that would make it easy for Anamelia to win aswell x

I also would argue that Lewis G should've stuck around for a couple of more weeks as he was amusing imo, and he did manage to take some attention off Lewis F (which was desperately needed) but sadly it wasn't meant to be.

I'm still disgusted with the public as well who championed on Zoe to hit Hussain when he didn't do anything to her, a truly shocking response imo.

I can understand the hate for Lewis F but to be fair comparing him to the likes of Lotan and Connor is absurd. He was the big time character of his series and he delivered, like helen delivered for 15 and Jade for BB3.

The viewer nom was bloody crap! The game changer could have been good but the whole ‘game playing’ theme didn’t really work cos it’s impossible to ‘play a game’ in the UK format unless you’re allowed to talk about noms, which they weren’t so the whole theme was pointless!

BB19 never promised it would revert to “the normal format” or “back to basics.” Not once. They said there would be a consistent format, and normal noms/2HM’s with the most noms facing eviction, a weekly viewer nom and a weekly gamechanger all fulfilled this promise. BB19 was also advertised as having “mind games”, and again the viewer nom fulfilled this promise as it caused paranoia amongst several HM’s. It was stated throughout the series that CBB22/BB19 intended to mix “back to basics” with new ideas aswell, not just one or the other.

The BBUK format, at its most basic form, is weekly nominations and the 2 HM’s with the most noms face eviction. THAT is the BBUK format at its simplest. BB19 has this format, as well as additions such as the viewer nom and gamechanger (as it had been on air for 18 years so needs to change sometimes, stated by Emma.) This is what they meant by mixing old/new BBUK together and therefore they stayed true to their word
