Looks like they have seen the result of my 'what would you do about Brexit' TiBB forum poll.

Fact.
This has always been the problem with the Libs, the Alliance and then Lib Dems.
They know, they could be as high as 30%, The Cons on 28% even and Labour 3rd on 25%.
This would still leave under this daft first past the post system.
The Cons largest Party
Labour 2nd.
Lib Dems not far but still comfortably behind Labour.
That is a pure fact.
Then as Swinson did this morning, the Lib Dems not saying where they'd lean.
From experience, its clear after 2010, they would lean more to the Cons.
Maybe not at present on brexit.
However can they be trusted.
In my view no.
As she was told, going from 18 seats to over 300 is as near impossible as it can be, with our voting system.
Voting Lib Dem thinking you can get rid of the Cons is folly.
If we had PR, fine, no extremes of parties could then likely succeed.
However its still as it has been for many decades since Labour rose to be a party of power.
If you want a Con government. Vote Con.
If you don't, vote Labour.
I think an election now is likely to result in another hung parliament.
Voting Lib Dem will ensure that more than likely, and result in a Con led government again.
This vote to revoke article 50.
Is a concern if not asking the voters again.
A general election asks lots of questions.
It can't be the means to decide brexit.
Sadly, despite the mess the 2 main parties are in.
The Lib Dems fence sitting, falsely believing they can win outright, js their trying to have it all ways stance again.
Which is likely to leave them with nothing in any way at all, and the UK stuck with a very extreme and worrying Con government.

She knows that.
But it's a convention all parties talk as if they could win. Their manifestos are based on that assumption too.

My memory doesn't fade as quickly as some voters.
Jo Swinson is a person I can't forget the things she supported just up to 5 years ago.
The heartless degrading testing of the sick and disabled, the bedroom tax, the NHS top down reorganisation promised would never happen, the trebling of tuition fees and all the austerity cuts.
All things she'd still have supported after 2015 had it been possible to keep that coalition with the Cons going on.
So I'd neither trust her or support her.
.
The Lib Dems to me, haven't moved forward with her as leader, to me they've moved back to a dark place with her as leader.
I hope most voters recall her heartless, hard-line position in the coalition, as a Minister in it too.
Before they put a cross next to her and the Lib Dems.

I'd rather stay in the EU myself or have Labours plan for A customs union and staying as tight to the economic parts of the EU.
While out the political elements.
However I agree any deal, or no deal should now have a confirmatory vote held on it.
Swinson and the Lib Dems are wrong to go for staying in without a new public vote.
I said on another thread, governments don't get over 50% of votes in elections.
Even if she were to rise to over 300 seats from 18.
She's totally deluded, again.
That would not have over 50% of voters support.
The Lib Dems are on the deceit road again.
She has a shocking recent history of breaking what the Lib Dems called cast iron promises.
Only up to 4 years ago too.

Radio 4 Presenter upset her
saying TV Election debates can freeze her out.
He said Sky , BBC and ITV are having behind the
scenes talks to not have LibDem in the debates.
Well it could be a Rush
and it is between Johnson PM
and The Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn
in our next General Election.

here's one meaning
supporter of policies that are socially progressive and promote social welfare
so I ask again how did she get the top job?
I like Jo, always have, and she could easily be the next PM. If it were a choice between her, Boris and Corbyn, she would win every time for me

Granted, Blair is abhorrent and should be in prison, but imagine the uproar from Swinson and the like if something like this came from anyone but their own party?
She is a bit too smug for my liking
nobody was more smug than Tony Blair, i wonder if he was successful
The biggest thing to come out of this conference was Verhofstadt's Hitler esque speech on Empires, and the ovation it received from the Lib-Dem conference.
Nobody wants to mention Verhofstadt's speech.
Post his speech Arista.
Empires are the future, nation states will be no more.

Can't find the whole speech but heres a bit you talk about
‘The world of tomorrow is not a world order based on nation states or countries. It is a world order that is based on empires. China, is not a nation, it’s a civilisation. India… is not a nation… The US is also an empire, more than a nation… And then finally the Russian federation.
The world of tomorrow is a world of empires in which we Europeans, and you British, can only defend your interests, your way of life, by doing it together, in a European framework and in the European Union.’
Looks like he is a fervent federalist. Some in the EU are, others are not. The jury is out. Anyway it's too early to talk about that, theres no much support anyway

I don't actually think she made a strong speech.
Watching it again and the small coverage it got.
Leaves it a rather hollow event really.
Just my view, however I'm not finding much enthusiasm towards her since the speech.
