I've just watched the dances on YouTube... Emma W, as much as I like her, was objectively the worst tonight (that was a loooong 90 seconds), but the judges a) overscoring Mike week-on-week and b) constantly saving him despite the fact that he's about as popular as typhoid with the viewing audience tells me that he must have incriminating photographic evidence of the judges snorting coke off of a male stripper's G-string

I-

''no real loss'' i know she wasn't finalist material, but come on she had more to give than this blob bushell, especially in ballrooms :idc:

but week 7 is an amazing achievement anyway for her, and i am proud of her :clap1: no huge fanbase and going to halfway point, clearly just not a favourite of the judges, same as Dev wasn't like by them, or Catherine

but that eliminated group dance is shaping up nicely too for the final, one thing to be looking forward to now, for the final

Dev, Catherine, Emma W, and also the legends that are James Cracknell, Anneka Rice, and the sweetheart teddybear David James

i will watch results show though (even though knowing i am gonna cry loads) i want to hear her speech, and tomorrow's gonna be emotional either on it takes two

and at least i got every dance of hers to watch back if i want :hee: Emma Weymouth: Strictly Legend of giving her own spin to each performance she has done :clap1: :clap1: my fave dance of hers is probably Viennese Waltz or Samba, but i also enjoyed her downton abbey foxtrot

Thank you miss emma for all these beautiful weeks thank you  now take more dance lessons, go audition for musicals, you belong more on a stage, or acting lessons, audition for movies, series, make all your other childhood dreams come true

Chris Hollins scenario all over again ;)

i don't mind elderly doing well in dance shows, but only if they can really dance, and it being justified going far

i mean i stanned a 60 yr old on lets dance Germany last year, ok he had his lows too in quickstep but he overall fought himself to the win, and oldest winner to date there and also in final he redeemed himself with german football themed quickstep to grease's we go together

He’s getting lucky with who he’s in the dance off with, nothing to do with working for the bbc, that didn’t exactly do Dev many favours did it? He’s been up against people that did worse than him, it’s hardly a shock that he’s surviving imo

She was below him on the leaderboard, if he didn’t make any mistakes in the dance off, then it’s obvious that he would be saved, if next week he’s at the bottom of the leaderboard, is in the dance off and is saved against someone better than him, then there might be something fishy about it, they can’t help it that he’s always been up against someone that hasn’t been great.

But the judges should also be recognising that he also isn’t getting any public votes, so his dances aren’t connecting with the audiences at home. 3 dance off’s in a row is a huge tell that the audience aren’t enjoying the performances.

they need to look at who has more potential overall, rather than one performance

3 dance offs in a row is pretty much embarrassing and a fact he isn't loved by public :idc:

judges ruin the show like this by keeping the worst dancers in

Catherine was better, Emma was better

i cannot see Mike pull off a viennese waltz like emma did, or a rumba catherine did, and to compare charlestons catherine did a better one than this rubbish from mike last night, emma's charleston was more appealing to watch, something what she did do right, improving how to act in a performance

emma's biggest weakness was she couldn't bring wow factor, Always just nice

Not what you were saying the other day. Mike wasn’t great but Emma W was worse because her dance wasn’t easy and she isn’t a great dancer.

''the other day'' i had been nervous for Emma throughout, i am realistic that she wasn't the best dancer

i just think she could've been up there top 4, with possibly slow waltz, quickstep, american smooth, since she is more a ballroom girl

but her latins well it wasn't anything disastrous or embarrassing

Aljaz had done a fab job with choreographies, with purely letting dance content shine, trying to teach her the right techniques, and she gave it a good effort, especially last night, with loads more energy than in her previous latin dances

i am also happy about this chance she had to show who she is, a very down to earth classy lady

and i apologize for not having been 100% honest on here, because i did in fact enjoy every it takes two interview also from her and aljaz

and you can really see she gave it her heart and soul in the training room and on the dancefloor on saturday nights, with also as most training hours as she could, next to her longleat and safari park work

You seem to pick and choose when to have this trail of thought? You had no issue and was glad when Saara was saved 3 times From the ffirst 5 weeks on X factor when she was in the bottom 2. Likewise you could say as a singer it’s only important if the audience are connected/enjoy the performance, otherwise it’s not a good performance?

Judges are there for a reason and the weakest went home. If you genuinely had this opinion that the audience should get their say always then I would take this point more seriously

that reason being ''save whoever are among producers pets'' producers probably drool over mike being fun factor, them being probably high on drugs or something too :laugh3:

The difference was Saara was an extremely talented singer, and went on to finish 2nd whereas Mike is mediocre at the best and has no chance of reaching the final.

Besides, by average, Emma W is the sixth best dancer this season and Mike is the twelfth best, so there’s really no comparison.

This whole BBC employee thing is crap tbh

Anneka and Dev are BBC Radio employees, Emma’s on animal park, Catherine is in Scarborough, Karim is on CBBC, Emma is in EastEnders, Alex Scott is a BBC pundit, Michelle is a judge on BBC three, most of the cast are BBC personalities.

Yes Mike being saved is weird, but I doubt its because he is a BBC employee

Agree, not sure why people are so annoyed. The judges have always based it on the dancing on the night and often the person who the judges have lower on the board goes home. Reason why Aston went home in 2017.... he had a bad week and was 2nd from bottom I believe and Mollie who he was in the dance off with had a higher score then him on the night so she was rightfully saved

by the same logic should we say Alexandrea in 2017 and ashley last year should have been eliminated before the final as they clearly were not popular with the public and often found themselves in the dance off.

Its a huge shame as I thought I had a friend in him, but he continues to send me abuse about myself and other members offsite, whilst coming on her pretending to be fun bubbly ‘oh what’s he like’ Nicky, causes riots then pops off at 6pm leaving the place burning, I liked the guy, I can’t speak for others, but I’m just disappointed in these tactics of his. :(

i'd so wanted her to do couple's choice, she would've slayed contemporary i think

most on DS, and any strictly blog predicted her as first or second out so she exceeded most of expectations people had for her

i also don't know why she lacked confidence on dancefloor to give that wow factor, maybe a bit shy

but if you see her on insta, you see her ooze with confidence, so maybe this was very nerve-wrecking, first time really performing in front of millions of people

she made the dances she did her own, queen of originality, wanting to learn lots of dance techniques i had thought majority of GBP would appreciate that but sadly there wasn't enough support :(

No it’s not, it’s predictable as anything. Regardless of the order they go, kelvin will and oti will win because judges/public think he is fit and all that ****. I would be surprised if any other outcome would happen... although I hoping the true talent Karim and Amy will win

Stop bothering God over a dancing show. There are more important things in the world.

And no, competition is no different than every year

true, and for me personally it is now a lighthearted entertainment show  and i'm no longer gonna be a annoying twat for the remainder of the series, or in any other RTV show, that side of me after this huge disastrous mess has got to be over now, i myself am annoyed with that side of me too

exit interview of emma and aljaz with Rylan tomorrow on it takes two, i love rylan he's so good at exit interviews, warm and nice

i agree with my dad, about rylan is a better host for that than Zoe, whom my dad says makes it all about her

I love Oti, but Kelvin not so much.
I think Karim is brilliant, very entertaining. Would love him to win. Or Michelle

performance wise Kelvin has proved himself, with samba, cha cha, rumba, charleston

and also in ballrooms he has shown to have improved now, in tango fierce, staccato, cool and last night for first time bit more emotion in his contemporary set viennese waltz

i think based on fierce attitude in tango, he might also be capable of stunning Paso, and Argentine Tango

I like his Latin, not so much his ballroom.

I dont thinking fair to expect people to ignore the posts when they take up most of the thread

Nicky does it for attention. If he doesnt get it he posts in chat about it as well as on walls and in PMS.
What's your solution to that?

I have 2 people in this conversation on ignore with that "total ignore" add-on, it's very noticeable when there's only like 9 posts per page

Emma was far better. The producers just want Mike in as the joke act.

That doesn't mean they have to KEEP him in  , and i still don't understand the whole thing with the tour as in the past people who should of been on the tour seem to get rejected or forgotten about .

yes very understandable about wanting stompy on the tour, rather than someone who brought originality to every dance she did :idc:

also preferring Mike on the tour, and ditching Dev, Catherine LMAO :laugh3:

even David was better than Mike to some extent, in terms of improvements

Vanessa

I don't want to see Mike on the tour. Give me Catherine, Dev and Emma V :fist:
