viewer ratings for lets dance have been by far the best so far, last Friday the semi final was watched by over 5 million people, never been there before at those ratings, usually between 3 and 4 million viewers

The spectators can officially breathe a sigh of relief! For a while now, fans of Let's Dance have been wondering if and how the show will continue this year. After all, due to the current health situation, it is not easy to produce TV formats at the moment. Shows like The Super Talent, The Bachelor and Co. show that it's still possible – and "Let's Dance" also takes on the challenge!

RTL now confirms to Promiflash that the popular dance show will take place as usual in 2021. It is not known what the exact concept will look like and whether there will be more viewers in the studio this year. Even the candidates, who will make the parquet unsafe in a few weeks, are of course still topsecret. Meanwhile, a trailer for the new season is already running on TV.

Only so much is already certain: Professional dancer Isabel Edvardsson (38) will pause in the upcoming season. The reason: The pretty Swede is pregnant and expecting her second child. "Of course I'm a bit sad because 'Let's Dance' has been a big part of my life for 14 years. But the fact is that both are not possible at the same time: professional dancing on TV and heavily pregnant..." the expectant mom explained in the Promiflash interview.

Erol Sander was born in 1968 in Istanbul, Turkey. Together with his mother and sister he moved to Munich at the age of five. After graduating from high school, he studied business administration.

In 1992 he left the Bavarian metropolis to work in Paris and Milan as a model for luxury brands such as Armani, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana.

Sanders began his television career in the French series "Jamais deux sans toi", in which he appeared as Dominque Masson from 1996-1998. Isabel: she is pregnant herself for 3rd time, but she will be a mentor for the newer pro dancers this series anyway

Erich: was against a lets dance show amid pandemic, despite the show having been massively more popular last year amid covid-19 pandemic, so he got ditched for his negativity

Regina: no comment, but due to flopping 2 years in a row

Nikita: failed with Sabrina Setlur last year

Alona: also failed in the eyes of producers

it will again work the same as last year, with the couples taking place where normally the audience sits, socially distanced with sofa's

and a isolation hotel, no outside vt's whatsoever, also photoshoot crew are in the isolation hotel, to make official promo shots which will likely get released few days before the show perhaps

all couples will still be able to virtually contact family, friends through zoom, skype and some messages will be seen during the show after a performance either (same as last year)

I find it weird that so many long term pros aren't there. Obviously Massimo & Isabel are unavailable due to being on parental leave but surprised that Erich is gone. What was with his negativity? Regina never made a final and did have two bad years so not too surprised nor with Nikita who couldn't dance ballroom. Alona deserved another chance and they really should have brought Ekaterina back.

Hope that Marta & Robert get good partners, they always get the duds.

I'm not from Germany so can't comment much on the cast but not sure if there are much good dancers of this year's male celebs, 4 are over 50 and two of the others are athletes which can be hit and miss. Some of the women might be good based on first impression. Auma is an interesting signing for sure.

ok Chakall was a dud (although i personally found his efforts very charming)

but last year she really made somewhat of a dancer out of Martin Klempnow, also even being that brave on giving Martin a solo bit in the Paso Doble which he didn't even do badly at all

Jan Hofer is what you call a national treasure, their primetime news legend, he also had admitted recently despite his age he enjoys trashtv, reality tv the most, and age is only a number (what we have learned after Ingolf Luck his win)

Erol Sander is one of their most experienced actors, had his hollywood bit of fame, also walking next to Angelina Jolie on the red carpet how hot is that

Valentina Pahde (well her twin sister Cheyenne earlier competed on the show, became 8th) she herself is one of the most popular soap actresses of the country, a very well known character of GZSZ called Sunny Richter, where she also had own spin off series for, and usually alongside her twin found at ultimate chart show in the celeb panel talking about biggest chart hits

Kai Ebel is a Formula One reporter for RTL, the interviewer post-race with the top 3, and few of the highlight drivers of the day, last year he also was in the bubble for each race

Kim Riekenberg, despite having no wikipedia page (she remains her private life very secretive) but she has been on front covers of some of most popular magazines in the country

Lola Weippert, speaking of trashtv, she is the love island host, basically a regular at TVNow, wanting to up her career via lets dance


Mickie Krause, love him or hate him, schlager is not for everyone, but comparing him to other schlager stars, he is a quite famous one, had many no.1 hits

Vanessa Neigert, DSDS top 6 finalist of season 6, most known for her comparison looks wise to Katy Perry, despite being bit unknown she got performer abilities already so i can see her being able for good entertaining performances (don't know what her latin, ballroom techniques will be like)

Simon Zachenhuber, new rising Boxing star, won already many titles at youth championships, also nice we got a new and current sportsstar rather than just former sportspeople

Senna Guemmour, was in girlband Monrose (had a huge hit Hot Summer) last of the monrose ladies to do this show either, now works as a comedian these days, and voice actress (in the secret life of pets 2, german voice role of Daisy) and has a youtube web series called Lets Get Real

The Let's Dance fan base will have to change: because in the coming season some beloved faces like Massimo Sinaté (40) or Ekaterina Leonova (33) will not be there. But the spectators can look forward to a return: Vadim Garbuzov (33). The Ukrainian-born actor had already participated in the show four times and lastpaused for two years. He spoke to Promiflash about how much he is looking forward to his comeback.

Speaking to Promiflash, the joy bubbled out of Vadim: 'I'm extremely happy!' Let's Dance' is for me the best TV show in Germany and it's great to return to the cast." He learned of his show comeback through a surprise call while giving a dance lesson: "I was very surprised and could hardly hide my happiness from my students. They were all happy, even though they didn't know what it was all about."

In his four "Let's Dance" performances, Vadim never got past a respectable 9th place, which he achieved in 2015 with Beatrice Richter (72). However, the 33-year-old has also participated in the Austrian version "Dancing Stars" five times. He won the title three times.

Marta getting a rather good one compared to other years when she got the duffer

Christina having the one i wanted for her, she's a good choice for Jan and vice versa, he's such a lovely, likeable somewhat adorable man and i didn't think he was bad at all (for his age) in the viennese waltz group


Nicolas & Vadim, hmmm first same-sex dancing i enjoyed actually, he feels more likeable than a Kerstin, and also he has good sense of rhythm, musicality i saw in quickstep


Christian made a good choice himself with Lola, she is a loose cannon but she can dance thats for sure, all he needs to do is get that control in her, teach her the right basics, bit of storytelling and i'm sure they could be a force to be reckoned with

Kim surprised me in a positive way, i thought she would pose too much (what most models tend to come across as) but she did ok in salsa group, and i like what i see from Pasha so yes excited what his own choreo skills will be like


as for hosts, Victoria with her new hair style she looks stunning, sexy, beautiful :love: and i thought she oozed more confidence in her presenting skills compared to previous years :clap2:

Let's Dance is making a brilliant comeback! On Friday night, the popular dance format flickered across the TV screens for the first time this year. After their first group dances, the celebrities around Rérig Goslason (33), Nicolas Puschmann (29) and Lola Weippert (24) were coupled with their pros and the golden ticket for the coming week was awarded. A real spectacle – which was well received by the spectators!


In a survey, the majority of Promiflash readers were enthusiastic about the opening episode: A good 52 percent of the survey participants (2,273 votes out of a total of 4,368) felt well entertained on Friday.

The audience's response was also reflected in the evening's ratings: According to DWDL, almost five million people tuned in to the CULT RTL show and ensured a strong 16.6 percent market share. With this, "Let's Dance" was able to prevail against the competition Joko against Klaas - The Duel around the World.

The results are through - Vanessa is out. Kinda surprised, I thought a younger singer would have more potential. Neither took the elimination well if the short clip online is anything to go by.

Rúrik and Valentina still very much front of the pack. Kim really improved this week - gained 13 more points than last week (10 to 23). Erol & Lola also improved whilst Simon, Nicolas & Ilse also all did well.

On the other side of the leaderboard - disaster for Mickie with a total score of only 7/30. Poor Malika.

Jan & Christina for me personally bit undermarked, was a enjoyable performance, maybe not technically the best cha cha, also nothing sexy but i wasn't expecting any of that, good to see a man of his age just having a good time, and i love the look of this pair, so cute


Erol's tango well good the classical music choice paid off, umm lol at him nearly breaking Marta's hand in training :laugh:



Nicolas & Vadim, well first same-sex pair i can fully support, love them and what a great energetic cha cha that was



Vanessa was boring, also technically very bad i felt for Alexandru how he got stuck with her, hope he gets a second chance (i fear he may not)

recap of last night (the theme was Born In birthyear of the celebs

Lola & Christian: good jive, just got bit of criticism she could be more energetic but neat footwork throughout, and judges are very eager now of seeing in a slow dance which she could be fab at they think

Erol & Marta: another improvement i guess, i personally thought he danced well, also performed it well with all his many years of acting experience, judges critique was he could try to attack the dance more but they do also see the potential still in him

Kai & Kathrin: scores don't mean a thing here, Kai is a cult icon, and he delivered another fab entertaining surprise with his efforts at the Paso Doble

Nicolas & Vadim: got their first 10's, very Hollywood foxtrot what Motsi said, very nice big band version of that metallica song either

Auma & Andrzej: out of hold she is stylish, elegant, free, but in hold she still has work to do to be more confident there too, overall foxtrot came across as very elegant

Simon & Patricija: needed more storytelling since contemporaries main basic is to tell a story, but dance wise it was good enough

Jan & Christina: i fully disagree with judges here, they act like he's 20, but telling a man of 68 he got to use his knees and be more aggressive :umm2: show some respect judges pls his knees might not be what they were like many years ago, i thought he did great at Tango, also a very lovely classic schlager song :love: and excellent choreo by Christina, making his acting/performing shine

Valentina & Valentin: not as perfect as the perfect 30 of last week, but still decent for difficult dance what the rumba is

Senna & Robert: kinda forgettable for me, and the blindfold seriously foxtrot is not the perfect dance for that at all

Ilse & Evgeny: discotastic, i am loving this pair more and more, they have so much good fun on and off the dancefloor (no bias since i am dutch, i didn't know what Ilse's dance qualities were like tbh) she's not that bad

Mickie & Malika: first dance i thought he did decent in lol, some very neat and sexy rumba walks, also Daniel calling Sir Elton John the Mickie Krause of UK :laugh3:

Rúrik & Renata: the whole concept of this jive reminded me of Jay & Aliona's somehow, yes he can dance thats for sure

At least Kai was kinda entertaining at times (same with Mickie). Why is Jan still in? He's the boring type of dud who would usually be first/second out on Strictly or DWTS. Whilst not every older celeb has to be the comedy type, his dances are just slow motion, stomping and basic steps. As interesting as watching paint dry.

he danced great for his age, i mean not every day you see a 69 yr old dancing a samba (one of the hardest dances out there)

also Christina's choreo's for him are lovely, i enjoy their partnership so damn much :love:


Kai i found better than Mickie last night, i mean Mickie i just cringe at his flatfootedness all the time, and i feel sorry for Malika cuz she seems like a wonderful dancer but trying to teach him how to dance well a hopeless case sadly


Erol i actually thought was undermarked too, his rumba was very charming, sensual, smooth rumba walks

Jan going out for me personally on a high, very lovely romantic waltz dedicated to his wife he loves so much for 7 years now :love:

Nicolas had a lesser week now but Samba is a tricky dance so he still did ok enough


Auma Obama well found her kinda robotic in the samba, she could go next week i think


Simon again undermarked, i quite like him and Patricija, the lifts were spectacular, lots of good rhythm, ok his posture is of a boxer, well duh i agree with herr llambi you cannot get all those years of boxer training out of you



as for team dances, my personal favourite was Motsi's, with a more godfatherish take on a tango, very clever to make Jan centre of attention as godfather character, Auma indeed was better in tango than the samba

Team Llambi was more a dedication to show business, theatre, music also very lovely in sync most bits, just few moments which were off

Team Jorge was ''cuban nights'' theme very hot and spicy, cheesy as you'd expect from a Jorge choreography, also Rúrik's flirting with Jorge is so funny :laugh3:

8 couples performed last night in pro challenge


few didn't due to one of pro's had positive covid test, and some others withdrew out of precautionary measure



we had a live audience (with masks of course) but it felt so so lovely again to see a dance show with audience after such a long time :love:



all the pro dances were sensational, truly agree with Herr Llambi how this is the best show on german tv :clap1: all these pro's are just superb



the top3 was

1. Renata & Valentin they won, so one of them gets to choose his/her celeb next year, their dance was themed ''Chess'' with queen's gambit soundtrack, it was just perfection, almost like watching dance world championships or something

2. Kathrin & Vadim, very worthy runner up, also a lovely remixed version of ain't no sunshine, and what a stunning helicopter lift move

3. Christina & Luca, everything about that routine was just cute, emotional, lovely, also lovely how they went from dance pair to romantic pair too after last years series
