….maybe this all has something to do with the bad press he has been getting of late. Amanda Holden and Ruth Langford seem to have under currents of dislike for him as has been reported. On the surface, I think Schofield deserves respect for coming out publically - it can't have been easy. However, the bits and pieces seem to be coming together, and it's likely that The Sun probably got a whiff of some evidence they could've used to out him. They've given him the option to come out by letting both him and his wife have their say in their paper, and are leaving everything else to people's imaginations.

I did get quite annoyed with my Mum for suggesting that the only reason he would come out now purely because there's a relationship involved. Coming out is difficult and it's obviously not unheard of for people to come out later in life, but it really does feel to random and formal.

Joan Collins has also said on GMB that people already knew, which I guess adds another weird layer to the story. How did it take 27 years for all of this to come out? It's bizarre.
