how can it be the shortest series since 1 when it will be same as the winter? Winter is 6 weeks and 8-2 = 6 so summer will also be 6 weeks.

I don't watch the show, but why are ITV trimming weeks for a show that pulls in 5 million viewers for them?:conf:

I dont know why they are doing it also. I am a bit disappointed. I used to be a huge BB fan but since I started watching Love Island in series 2 I much prefer it and so I dont even miss Big Brother

I’d imagine it’s down to the fact they’re now doing multiple series a year and ITV mustn’t be giving them the schedule space to allow to full series.
Because how it is at the moment, it’s still 12 weeks of Love Island a year compared to 8 when it was just one series. If they were both full length - it’d be 16 weeks a year and I assume ITV don’t have the space/budget/creativity to accommodate that.

It doesn't make sense at all.

Should’ve just kept it to one summer series
Although this is a good thing for when it’s running out of steam like the current series

I think it might be too short and a tad rushed, I'd rather just one summer series

If that's the case I'd just scrap the winter series going forward.

It's sad what Ch5 did to BB, because like you I don't miss their version at all.
I'll always miss Ch4 BB though.

ITV have cut 12 eps from the summer run, this winter run is only 7? shorter I think
According to Broadcast magazine anyway, who are pretty spot on

A bit strange that it will be shorter than the current winter series as surely the summer is when the show is most popular? I mean I was expecting it to be the same length as the winter series but not shorter?
