Have you tried this?
(log in)From your desktop, click on the settings cog next to the logout, there will be a sub menu, click on security, then security key, from there you should be able to remove your old number and add your new number.

This is why I always keep or migrate my number now, so many services will lock you out if you don't have access to an old mobile number, it's a nightmare. I was locked out of my daughter's apple store on her iPad for over a month and had to jump through so many hoops to reactivate it.
Can you still send money? If so just set up another PayPal and send the money to that, then withdraw from there. My wife hasn't been able to withdraw to her bank account for years for some reason. We just send the money in her PayPal to mine and withdraw from there.

I have had my same mobile number for like 15 yearsI'm on my 5th year (of 2-year contracts) just upgrading on the same number with the same provider, but it's actually much easier to migrate a number than it used to be. Switched my daughter from EE PAYG to a contract on Three (£11/m for unlimited data :omgno: ) and she wanted to keep her number. Just had to send a couple of texts and it was done by the next morning.

My account has a block on everything until I phone paypal but they have closed call centres for 2 weeks and could keep them closed for months.
Surely its illegal to close call centres when its peoples money involved?

Never change my mobile number, just get a PUK from your mobile provider and send it to your new one

Call your old phone provider and try to get them to send you a PAYG sim attached to your old number?
