So there we have it, our AS season started! I actually feel like a lot of people are positive about this premiere, based on social media and "expert" websites.

I haven't changed my mind about the cast: some of them really are all-stars, some are previous players, and some are totally fillers.

The VT's were good, thank God they got rid of that awkward "I found my key" segment...

I like the idea of having a competition right from the start, but did it have to be athletic? I mean, I wish they were all nicely dressed and have a short one on one talk with Julie before entering. The competition could have been a mental one about BB legacy or something like that.

Not too thrilled about Cody winning, but OF COURSE that was expected from him. Watch him target Nicole A, Da'vonne and Kaysar, and work with Tyler in the process.

The have-not room was a mess but that's live TV! Whoever locked that room before the premiere has been fired since :laugh:

That was a fun premiere! I think the cast is solid bar David who's out of place imo. I know a few people (and some in the house) probably wanted bigger names but I'm happy we avoided Dan/Derrick/etc. It'll be nice to let other people expand on their reputations. I have no desire to watch people blow smoke up their arses.

It's weird to see so many people I never thought would play again (Kevin, Memphis, Keesha...even Janelle, Kaysar, and Dani) in the house but it's refreshing nonetheless. The lack of showmances will make the game less predictable, imo.

The competition was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at the first four women constantly trying and failing to navigate the ball around that huge board, lmao. Da'Vonne's constant swearing :love: I'm not too bothered Cody ended up winning, I think first-week HOH's are always up in the air and who knows what's going to happen. It's like picking two names out of a hat, really.

Lmao, Julie was so on form tonight. I thought she handled so many of the awkward moments well despite coming across awkward herself. "Last housguest to sit down gets evicted" is already the quote of the season.

I thought the opener was decent. It was interesting how some cast members just fit and others were so completely awkward. For sure a different season when its not all about showmances etc. It will be interesting when game play actually starts. Im trying to pair whos going to work together but there are some unknowns

I do see people who think they are better than others getting booted first. At least that's my hope!

For additional context,

Kevin/Bayleigh/Janelle were having a convo in the Love Room and Janelle brought up the Islamophobia Kaysar faced in BB6. Kevin brought up how upsetting it is to him that Jeff is placed on a pedestal in BB lore despite his homophobic remarks and he kinda got dismissed immediately. Bayleigh's take was "well it was a different time" and Janelle's take was "well Jeff apologized and he says he's changed so" and Kevin seemed upset by that still.

Very soon after that convo, he got called to the DR and likely got tipped off that he's in trouble because he immediately came out of the DR and pulled Cody into the Storage Room for that convo. Kind of weepy and pathetic but I totally understand where he's coming from.

I thought it was reasonably entertaining, they set up the whole Cody HoH strategy and downfall pretty well. He isn't a good player but it was fun seeing it unfold.

- Overall it was an okay episode. I was quite surprised by how much I liked Kaysar compared to launch night AND considering he's on the other side of the house. But he seems quite charismatic and interesting but idk if that'll last.
- Janelle is just ****ing awful.
- Nicody SLAYED & Enzo was a howl.
- I feel like Da'Vonne is gonna get pretty old fast. There's something I like about her but her DR's are also just so annoying. She can go if she's gonna start coming after Nicole though.

It took a talk with one of my friends but ok this episode was actually pretty decent. (and I managed to get one of my friends back into BB for this season after years because ENZO :joker:)

I think it was more meh for me while I watched just because I was feeling tired through it & I also knew a bunch of it already from reading updates / following feeds enough so nothing felt too special about it. But in reality it gave nice alliance / player insight and Enzo was solid again in his moments :clap1: Another TYLER fan on the horizon too, this guy just wins everyone over :fan:

Veto episodes can be quite boring because you know that with how the rules are the nominations will hardly ever get changed anyway. It's more often about doing what the HoH wants and obviously they rarely want to put a third person up.

Kevin needed to win to come off the block and he just threw it away anyway. But despite all that drama Keesha was probably the one in danger. I'd rather he went but with how the edit is it seems very obvious he isn't. So probably the standard predictable early eviction.

Again, not really because Kevin asked a bunch of people and well... he had to choose someone and really had no better options & it's not like anybody else would have saved him either and he knew that. They didn't even have a deal or anything because Kevin was still asking him and Cody to use it after and Enzo said he "didn't want to promise him anything". He'll probably even end up working with him if he wants to work with Cody. :shrug:

Crappy Christmas supposedly won the safety suite, the sad fact is we'll never truly know. When her time was announced she hid her face in hands as sign of total embarrassment(being well aware she never got anywhere near that made up time) But she soon shook off any embarrassment and was in the DR with her production pals, ridiculously gloating about "Everything working out just as it should be". She then ran to Memphis and stood in a ridiculous stance with her arms open, seemingly waiting on some sort of embrace from that maniac..

Memphis has definitely helped the show, though telling others about Janelle's and Kaysar's plans really shot himself in the foot. The Ian comedy wasn't that bad. As usual the worst segment was the moral message part, it always feels scripted.
