What year of EastEnders should’ve been chosen for the rewatch?

As it says in the title. 2008’s proven a lot more watchable this time around than back then but few will deny that it’s a pretty random choice as far as individual year choices go.

Imma let 2008 finish.. but 2005 and 9 was amazing from beginning to end

Either way it’s still good and I’m grateful for classic Eastenders from any year, they just chose a very random one. Even 2007 with Max and Stacey’s affair would of been a cute choice

I'm enjoying 2008 but 2007 from summer onwards would be good. I wanted to see the Vic raid episodes which I remembered from 2008 but apparently that was November 2007. :nono:

I voted 1986.
It's before I was born but what I've seen of this deeply dark and depressing show in the last 2 decades.
Leaves me wondering if it was worth watching in the 80s.

As I can't bear to even look in on it now.

I would've included 2019 but thought that was a bit too fresh in the memories of the few people who watched last year. Every other year of the 2010s was different shades of crap.

Compared to most of what's followed but on its own it was a pretty choppy year. Especially in the summer (where the current episodes stop).

That's it. The first half of the year was disastrous. That period from the back-end of the Johnny Allen era to the Mad May/Dawn story concluding was the least interested I ever was in Eastenders in the 2000s (a few months in 2008 aside).
