Best part of that was when Johnson thought he couldn't be heard.
Would have been good to end it all there for me.

Starmer should however make his last question a much more serious one, on another important issue other than his decided line of questioning.

Whereby this deceitful PM, cannot go off on his vaccines, jabs etc; nonsense he always sets out to make at the end of the last question.

Of course it would be a great help if he was forced to stick only to the content of the question asked and not go off on an irrational rant.

The SNP leader
using Cummings words from the BBC2HD Hour
he demands a public inquiry right now.

The PM says no
not until next year.

The PM says no to now because he doesn't want the conclusions of said inquiry to be known before the next election.

He argues it's time to open all up now.
Then says it's not right to hold the public inquiry while we are in the middle of a third wave of this pandemic.

There's only one reason he is refusing to sanction it being done NOW and that is because he knows what's coming from it and also he, and his former and present Ministers too, will likely have to give evidence under oath.

I've not seen today's one yet so for all I know it could have been relevant, but comments like that give folks like BoJo an excuse to bandy out the "politics of envy" line.

If the MP's question was framed as "it's easy for you to tell people to put up with isolating, when you have a heated pool in your house" I can see why they'd say it, but it's a bit of a waste of a question.

Good last question from Starmer that got him riled and showed his and his ignorant backbenchers contempt for people.

That last rant of his, now at near all PMQs needs to be switched off and stopped by the Speaker.
It is every week almost and not relevant to any of the questions asked.

He's just so unconvincing.

I'll look forward to hear what my Con contacts tell me on this as most hoped he'd admit it was a party or gathering that shouldn't have happened under his own government's rules.

Look, Johnson wasn't at it, so why won't he now just admit it was wrong, he has the defence he wasn't at it.
It's this procrastination until more and all becomes obvious.
Which makes him look not just incompetent but negligent.
He comes across as deceitful, deliberately so politically.

All he's said will please the hard-line Con voters.
How I hope this time other more open voters see his sidestepping, deceit on this issue.

I don't think he did.
I think he still hit home the breaking of rules.
This isn't going away just on the fudged statement Johnson made at the start.

He should have today at PMQs wrote it off more completely.
By admitting it was a grouping of people indoors which was breaking the rules.
He should have apologised for that, not the videos released earlier from Stratton.

Then stated he would be looking at any disciplinary action necessary in light of the rule breaking as to which he'd return to the house and inform of any such possible action.

He has only taken the weak plaster off this wound and left it to infect likely more, in my view.

I totally agree with all Ian Blackford said too.

Of course Con hardliners will defend Johnson as usual and bring others down.
Even on this.

Those who lost loved ones in December last year must now in the main be even more livid and furious after this fudging of this vital issue again by this dangerously incompetent PM.

is anyone really surprised. Johnson only acts if the media start to influence public opinion negatively, otherwise he couldn't care less. However, everyone knew this was who he was when they voted for him. It will be this way as long as he is PM. Starmer doesnt have the clout in parliament to do anything, thats not his fault, thats because labour did so badly at the last election. No it's not, you're right but this PM and Con supporters think it is.

Plus Labour never wanted another lockdown.
They would have never halted the wearing of masks and social distancing that's all, plus working from home more whenever possible.

(Which I felt was a massive error by Johnson to do in July).

Labour wanted that to hopefully AVOID more lockdowns.

IF Johnson had his own party behind him and wasn't frightened of them now.
So as not having to rely on Opposition votes.
It is possibly more likely than not that more restrictions would have been brought in now.
However this PM dare not.

Apparently his Chancellor who okays the payment of it too, was 2 people up from him on the front bench, however clearly didn't put him right.

It's really beyond all reason that someone can't say if they were or weren't at a gathering.

That they have to wait for someone who definitely wasn't there, to investigate to in effect then say that person was there or not.

What a useless excuse for a man Johnson really is.

Will Starmer be congratulating Boris on his handling of the Covid situation ??

###
The UK is the closest of any country in the northern hemisphere to exiting the Covid-19 pandemic, an expert has said.

Professor David Heymann, from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), suggested in a Chatham House online briefing that the UK was seeing the disease become endemic.

He said: “In general, now, the countries that we know best in the northern hemisphere have varying stages of the pandemic.

“And probably, in the UK, it’s the closest to any country of being out of the pandemic if it isn’t already out of the pandemic and having the disease as endemic as the other four coronaviruses.”

Nor should he be congratulating him on over 20,000 estimated unnecessary loses of lives of others loved ones.

Yes, to the vaccine roll out enacted with the efficiency and determination of local authorities of ALL parties and the NHS itself.
Yes to that.

To near most of everything else in this pandemic, this PM and this government have been more like a disaster.

Sorry to say that too because if ever we should have had post the second world war, the as near perfect response to something, this pandemic was that.
Yet this PM and his government set out to only do it their way, dismissing other Parties elected to parliament.

Which resulted in the early to mid chaos and those shocking deaths unnecessarily of others loved ones, family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues.

Honestly it's such a dumb distraction and irrelevance; hold the government to account for our under-funded health service, our absolutely shocking schools, their treatment of the unemployed, their piss-poor provision for disability ... countless ways they systemically disrespect and abuse every single member of the public who isn't a millionaire with land and large stock investments ... not which members of the party "did naughty". It doesn't really matter! They'll get a slap on the wrist, or replaced! If they're replaced it'll be with another cookie-cutter piece of ****! It's a complete waste of time and they bank on people focussing on the individuals instead of the bigger picture.

Starmer is right if any company is seen to get away with these practices it will snowball.

To me though there are sectors where this is happening by stealth, the plan was to flood everywhere with 0hr contracts, however that has backfired as now they have rights thanks to campaigners. Then there was the 'self employed' con for couriers, taxi drivers and such.
Now we are harking back to the 90s with 'temporary workers' these are filling roles it was sold as 'jobs that Brits don't want' which of course is rubbish. Warehouse workers, nurses and truckers are affected.

Many jobs in the UK aren't even advertised here. To me this is modern day slavery.

Some Safe MP's could want it.

But look how Stupid PM May
was, she failed in calling an Election Early
at the worse Brexit time.

Johnson knows it is too much risk
minority power slows it all down.

It needs to be May 2024

More than likely just after the 19p rate of tax announced today kicks in

You can't compare then to now. During May's snap election, there was no-one to vote for, both sides were deeply unappealing.

Now, I'd like to think people aren't falling for Boris' "Good Old Boy" persona, which won him the 2019 election - people voted for "Boris, the bloke who'd be fun down the pub", not Johnson the politician. Had Johnson not been PM during Covid and now Russia, such a spotlight might not have fell on what he's really like.

Yes May or Corbyn
but they still lost a Massive amount of Conservative MP's

The Point is she did not need
to risk it.
