the highway code is being updated now as driverless cars are likely to be here before the end of the year. The driver is free to watch videos during their journey, but is still not allowed to talk on the phone

The driver is free to watch videos during their journey, but is still not allowed to talk on the phone........... I'd love to hear the reasoning for this because while being on call is obviously dangerous and a major distraction for drivers, its a lot less so than watching bloody YouTube! Either it's safe to basically do whatever you want, or it isn't and you need to pay attention to the road.

its apparently related to the cars safety systems. They have the capability to stop the video playing in an emergency situation, but have no control over the phone call
