Why are they treating this as another AIDS epidemic, I'm wondering if it's being blown out of proportion.

And surely anyone touching / in contact is at risk then ?.

Yes Worse

It is "new more deadly strain"
that kills more

Worse than AIDS!?? Come on  .

I just been researching ,and it says most people recover after a few weeks. And only in rare cases...some might get really sick & die .

Monkeypox contact tracing extended to Scotland

[Public Health Scotland has confirmed it is helping
to trace contacts of a monkeypox patient
who was identified in England.

The patient had recently travelled to Nigeria,
where they were believed to have caught the virus.

A "small number of individuals" in Scotland
are now reported to be in quarantine after
being identified as contacts of the patient.

The move was said to be a
"standard and precautionary exercise".]

[And Public Health Scotland said the
risk to the wider public remained very low.]

It's not a virus. Its bullous impetigo caused by the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus and requires antibiotics. It is very contagious but not usually serious.

I just hope the government isn't going to gaslight us into believing this is another deadly virus.

Yes Worse
than Aids.

Aids was a death sentence and entirely uncurable, this is treatable and has a 5% mortality rate... in the DROC - the death rate in the west will be <1%. Ludicrous to compare it to AIDS.

I won't comply. However, if I have to get paid time of work, then I'm all for it.

This lot would think you're on strike. So you would probably just get a pay rise and be expected back at work, monday.
