i think the environment these days is that it's massive problems piled on top of massive problems. There is no way we are going to see ourselves out of this for decades and we are just going to have to accept that. The problem is that as human beings we want things we can latch on to for stability, and they are becoming fewer and fewer, so overall, the mental health of the population is on a steep decline and that can only end badly.

If you think about it, covid accelerated Putin's isolation and paranoia, without that happening he may not have taken the actions he has before dying of old age

Yeah if the snap election had been instant instead of both parties campaigning, she'd probably have had her landslide. The problem was ... people got to see her :joker: I get the feeling she's probably quite nice as a person, but she's a bit of a charisma vacuum. Yeah when that election was called she had a huge lead in the polls. She should have gone very policy light in that campaign and just centered it on getting Brexit through like Boris did. Aside from that she could have mainly stuck with the manifesto that Cameron won a big majority with only a couple of years earlier
