I don't know why people take things too far.
Personally I have never liked Shirley on Strictly, but I will never support harassment, especially if it's grown ass adults doing it.

Online Trolls
love, they now have a Front Page.
Does Shirley have to keep checking online,
Can she not ignore it?

It's not nice what she's had to contend with it seems also not necessary either.
I personally wouldn't miss her on Strictly, she has her favourites on Strictly and also shows her bias to them too via her marking.
I do think she was a poor replacement for Len Goodman on Strictly.
Sorry to say.

I’m not surprised tbh, the hate the woman gets is so over the top it’s probably frightening to be the one it’s aimed at, she can’t breathe without having bile thrown at her

tbh I think celebrities should have some kind of "training" so they can shrug off trolling and mean comments online. It's sad that the comments reached the point where she's considering not carrying on her job, but at the end of the day it's just words on a screen.
I know it's not so easy to be pragmatic - when I was on {REDACTED GAME SHOW} I was stupid enough to browse the hashtag while it was on and saw some comments which made me wanna not leave the house until I'd had a bunch of plastic surgery and got a new voice :joker: and they were just comments fired off and probably forgotten about a few minutes later, not aimed directly at me but at the goon on the screen.
I can't imagine what it would be like for the comments to be constant and targeted. So I do feel for her, but I wish she could get to a place where it doesn't affect her. Or even just set her feed and notifications to "only show people I follow".

No offense to Shirley, but she has a lot of detractors because of her stint on Strictly, I doubt that it'd be so easy to ignore.

Did the Sunday Mirror not have anything else to splash on but this complete non-story?
no wonder the ar4e is falling out the newspaper trade

Online trolls exist yes it's not nice but they exist, especially on twitter ....so if I was in the public eye like her then I'd avoid social media especially twitter and Facebook. Which are 2 platforms I never use anyway.
And I agree..... she was always bias on strictly ,and it got on my nerves. I've never been a fan of hers.
