Come on now, all this bollocks about being the clear favourite is just pathetically ridiculous.
We haven't seen anyone dance yet fgs. Let's not have another pity winner like Hamza for the sake of credibility and the show.
It's obviously based on the sob story of Jade's death and his supposed good looks. Puke.
Criteria for a win. I think not No. Yawn.
I would literally vote for anyone else as opposed to him.
It's a travesty if he is the pre determined Victor.

He's the bookies favorite to win. But we haven't seen them dance yet.
We don't know who the public will take to.
Remember Ashley and how good she was? The public didn't like her.

OK, maybe that was phrased rather badly. I don't think he'll be bad, but it's incredibly annoying that anyone gets named pre show as the hot favourite.
How can they be? Only for reasons that shouldn't even play a part in deciding a winner.

But I say that they are basing that on the facts that he's so called gorgeous looking and his mum was Jade who died.
Not reasons to win in my book.

But they're bookies they have to put someone as the favourite as soon as the names are out there, presumably that will change once the show starts (unless he is a very good dancer as well as having a "back story" that appeals to people)

Yes, that will definitely change as soon as they dance.

Yes but it's got no credible foundation, that's what I'm saying. Let's see if things change once we see them all dance for the first time this weekend.
Back stories same as on the x factor annoy me. It should all be about the talent.

he is gorgeous looking
he deffo wins the title of Mr Worldwide Handsome of Britain
In your opinion. I personally find him plain, not attractive at all. I'm sure that's not a good enough reason for a win anyway. :idc:

But the only thing they have to go on right now before they dance is how popular that person is, they can't exactly judge their dancing skills yet

if it was all about the talent than Simon Webbe should've won his year, not Caroline Flack
or Danny Mac and not Ore Oduba whom was praised into the heavens by Bruno as the next ''Fred Astaire'' for some reason i still don't understand why
the year of Jay McGuinness was strongest year we had so far, with both Jay and Georgia being very very talented and i didn't mind Jay winning but i was fully #TeamGeorgia
or Faye Tozer also one who should've won
Colin Salmon also one who should've gone further than he did, especially his Superstition Salsa was phenomenal with Sexy Kristina Rihanoff
Jason Donovan should've also won

i personally loved Patrick Robinson too, with sweet Anya Garnis (shame she only was on the show for 1 series )
his viennese waltz to a new day has come gave me goosebumps all over!
Mark Benton surprised me very positively too, despite a man of his size, very decent dancer, and i LOVE LOVE LOVE his dinosaur move in his Blackpool Jive

So out of that entire cast list Bobby is the most popular? God knows why? I would have said Angela Rippon.
Again, it's down to his mum being Jade.

yes i would've thought the same too

Early favorites to win very rarely actually win.

I had to google her but I knew who Bobby was straight away:laugh: (I did recognise her once I saw her but not by name)

Yes and most likely you knew him because of Jade? That's why he's the favourite. The sob story! It pisses me off. If he was just another Eastenders actor he really would not be the favourite. I get your point that the bookies have to name one but I think it's utterly ridiculous.

if only Angela Rippon dances a tango to the instrumental version of Marie Myriam's legendary Eurovision song, because she presented that contest back in 1977
would make a decent tango either i feel, very dramatic and stylish

And this is on topic? No. The thread is about why Bobby shouldn't win. Fgs.

To be fair to Bobby - I have rarely seen him mention his mum - its everyone else that brings up Jade. He doesn't trade off being Jade's son - the press may tout him for that but the only time he speaks about her seems to be when he is directly asked. He was so young when she died, she probably hasn't had the impact on his life that the press would lead you to believe - Jeff maybe but Jade no.

Make no mistake here the bookies don't care about sob stories, they're there to make as much money as they can so if they're putting him as the favourite it's because the people who watch and vote on the show love a sob story

I don't though. Sob stories annoy the hell out of me especially if they end up being the reason said person wins. Hamza last year winning was utterly ridiculous. The other finalists were all way out of his league. Let's not have a repeat.
a good sob story has always gone down well with the public. The X factor used to do it all the time
You can be sure that if it didn't make a difference to the public, the producers wouldn't push it

I imagine things will change once they start dancing.
I'm sure he will be good, but I expect we will have a new favourite to win soon.

so you like to ignore Hamza's Salsa or his superb and very entertaining african couples choice in which even his pro partner had the best time which you could clearly see every second of that performance
or how stunning his ballroom looked
his weakest dance was his Jive to Blinding Lights, but i enjoyed that one too
From what i've seen of him he seems like a really nice and polite young lad. No like some of these bratty model and "spoiled kid of celebs" type. Good luck to the boy.

I'm comparing him to the other finalists and he was the weakest Performer out of them all. Even he himself couldn't believe he'd won.

Tbh if he were to win because of the thematic nature of him winning, then I wouldn't be particularly happy about it either as Strictly is getting really bad for thematic winners.
However I won't hold it personally against Bobby as it's not his fault, plus he might do the best performances for me so I am going to give him a chance.

Bobby shouldn't win
because he's a nepo baby, end of
praying he's a bad dancer, first out would be awesome, his 15 minutes of fame being over that soon again :fc:
