Soost comes from East Berlin and grew up in a children's home from the age of nine. His biological father was from Ghana, and he had an affair with Soost's mother, who was married. Paul Lorenz was born in Volgograd (Russia) and came to Germany with his family at the age of 12. At that point, he had already been dancing for six years!

From 2008 to 2014 he danced together with "Let's Dance" professional Ekaterina Leonova, who is also his ex-girlfriend, in the main group S-Standard and -Latin. In addition, Paul was part of the national squad from 2005 to 2013 and had great success in various championships.

The 36-year-old is already familiar with the "Let's Dance" floor. In 2007 he danced as an additional dancer of Ute Lempers and in season 8 (2015) as part of the professional cast with Katja Burkard. He also appeared as a professional dancer in the ORF version of "Dancing Stars" in 2016. Paul also took part in the last "Let's Dance" tour.

Marta Arndt was born in Kluczbork (Poland) and moved to Germany with her family at the age of eleven. Marta took her first dance steps at the age of 13. Together with her long-time dance partner Pavel Pasechnik, she celebrated many successes – among other things, she is multiple German champion in the Latin American dances of the professionals. In 2017 she won the World Championship Latin WDSF Professional Division.

Ekaterina "Ekat" Leonova was born in Volgograd (Russia) in 1987. She has been dancing ballroom and Latin since she was ten years old. Already during her school years, which she finished with 1.0 in the Abitur, she began training as a dance teacher, which she also successfully completed in 2007. After that, she decided to study social pedagogy at the Institute of Art and Culture in Volgograd, which Ekaterina also completed with 1.0.

In 2008, she moved to Cologne to pursue her sports career and study business administration, which she successfully completed at the University of Cologne with a bachelor's degree in 2014 and a master's degree in April 2018.

Together with her dance partner at the time, Paul Lorenz, who will also be a professional on "Let's Dance" in 2024, she built a successful dance career. Their big breakthrough came in 2012: after winning the EU Cup in the ballroom dances and a second place in the Latin American dances, they also won the World Cup Standard in Malaysia at the end of the year. With this, Ekaterina and Paul firmly established themselves at the top of the world dance sport.

Ekaterina started her success story on "Let's Dance" in 2013 together with original Bachelor Paul Janke. To this day, she is the only professional dancer to have achieved the feat of winning the show three times in a row. Most recently in 2019 with Pascal Hens. This year, Ekat even won two "Let's Dance" titles – as she also won the professional challenge together with Massimo Sinató. In 2024, Ekat will be on the dance floor for the celebrities for the tenth time.

Since 2019, Ekaterina has appeared in various TV shows and at the beginning of 2024 she sat on the jury of "Das Supertalent". In addition, the dancer made her acting debut in the RTL series Der Schiffsartz in 2022.

2. Lina Larissa Strahl (she's was in my top 2 back when she did dancing on ice, hope she does well again, i like her)

2. the studio looks divine with the new upgrades, all the gold, glitter and the diamond instead of the square where the couples enter onto the dancefloor

3. the newbie pro's are quite refreshing cool additions, Anastasia especially GO MOLDOVAN DANCE TALENT :worship:

4. for 3 days training, no one really looked bad (apart from Tillmann then :fan: Paul Janke similarities lol)

5. Mark Keller is LITERAL such a wholesome character honestly, german liam neeson :love: :love: he has potential to go far if he really gets going with the dancing

Tillman was eliminated last night (FINALLY :cheer2:) or Stillman as i called him, he stood still the entire time in all of his performance :joker:

once again lovely show

am pleased with the progress for Mark, another improvement, with his waltz this week, everything is superb but his posture which still needs polishing but he has makings of a dancer

learned some things too last night about our celebs

Lulu apparently as a little child was on stage with Michael Jackson for ''Heal the World'' :D

Detlef apparently worked with Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson in his dance school, for Thriller, Rhythm Nation respectively those choreographies

Tony and Nastia are iconique :clap1: Tony is so funny, his impersonation of Forrest Gump in the VT either :flutter: amazing

this week no live show due to easter holidays, always a tradition for one week off, and doing a Magic Moments Special with the pro's looking back at some of the best moments so far in this show's history

next week the top 10 will return though

Lina's exit last week was kinda a shock tbh, i thought Ann-Kathrin was a goner but she seems to be doing quite well on Valentin's fanbase

am happy Mark survived that jive disaster and had the top points for his group in the dance battle of Italy Week, glad jive is out of the way now, hoping for a ballroom next week again

who i can see going all the way

Tony & Nastia, Detlef & Ekat, Jana & Vadim have potential too, King Choreo deffo doing everything he can so far to get a dancer out of a novice like Jana :love:

Tony is my second fave besides Mark, he is just too cute and Nastia (Anastasia but i call her Nastia) great new pro addition

Lulu & Massimo are also good fun to watch, very much hollywood glamour in their performances

Gabriel & Malika are also contenders yes

last night was a fun special, looking back at some of the best magic moments of our pro dancers so far

Christina obviously getting paired up with Luca Hanni in this show, and marrying him post show and now the both of them are expecting their first child :D

Andrzej his magic moment was with Barack Obama's half sister Auma, finally getting further than a 7th place :cool: and showcasing some wonderful african dance styles in the latins

Christian his magic moment was with both his wins his ''sister from another mister'' Maite Kelly, and with Vanessa Mai, and last years partner Sharon Battiste

Massimo his magic moment with his eventual wife Rebecca Mir, not once but twice dancing with her in both a regular series and a christmas special :cool: and his win with the wonderful circus queen Lili Paul-Roncalli and their aladdin medley showdance

Vadim's magic moment was as their first same-sex partnership in the show history, with Nicolas Puschmann, and their contemporary to unsteady

the Lusins their magic moment

Renata's being her win with the Icelandic Thor - Rurik Gislason, and her profi challenge win with her husband Valentin, as well as recently being world dance champions!

Valentin's being his win last year with Anna Ermakova

Mariia's magic moment, having been Ekat's backing dancer in quite a few of her showdances for Gil's Avatar showdance, Ingolf's Shrek showdance, Pascal's madagascar showdance, Mariia is the niece of Ekat, but they are like sisters

really nice to see all these best bits

last night was fab

opening group dance was a disco mashup with two actors Jannik Schumann (award winning actor for his role in Sisi) and Emma Nova leading the pro's and celebs, to promote their new musical series Disko 76

our first perfect 30 of the series, for Gabriel's tango

also twice 29/30's for both Jana & Vadim, Detlef & Ekat

Lulu & Massimo did very well too

Mark & Kathrin :worship: finally Mark showing some of that potential, also his tap dancing :clap1:

Stefano & Mariia were eliminated, yeah well i knew a male would go this week, to try and even out numbers regarding male/female celebs

Tony & Nastia were once again brilliant too, with their VW, they are a joy to watch, btw Nastia had a bronze medal last weekend at the world championships with Sergiu Luca :love:

Ann-Kathrin surviving again bottom of leaderboard, the power of the Lusin fanbase is enormous me thinks, also Valentin's first dance as a newly become dad :flutter:

Jana & Massimo: very nice samba to ain't it funny by J.Lo, the flamenco vibes are very cool in this dance

Biyon & Malika: nice quickstep to Nat King Cole's classic L.O.V.E. bit wooden-ish in his body movement maybe, but all in all a nice quirky performance

Detlef & Kathrin: very dramatic viennese waltz to teddy swims lose control, wow again very cool from our choreographer and fitness instructor

Mark & Ekat: traditional paso to espana cani, whew Mark slayed more than in his foxtrot last week, wow wow wow, also he won the bonus point for next week

Ann-Kathrin & Vadim: nice country themed cha cha to pitbull and kesha's timber, but compared to the rest, she still falls a bit flat, weakest of the remaining top 9 by far

Lulu & Alexandru: nice foxtrot to a slowed down version of Boney M's Daddy Cool, she came across a bit nervous though, whereas usually with Massimo she oozes more confidence

Sophia & Valentin: great waltz to the La La Land song Audition, although her frame wasn't perfect all the way through from getting in and out of hold

Tony & Marta: poor Tony not with his dream team partner Nastia, dedicating his jive song to her now with Gabriel ''take good care of my baby'' his jive was good fun, very nice between the lines technique wise too

Gabriel & Nastia: nice slower version of ed sheeran bad habits for his foxtrot, loved the halloween-ish vibe with it too, with the vampire theme although could've been a bit more danced in hold maybe and lesser contemporary elements, but a good performance

we had a jury show act too

Llambi danced his bit to Mr Bojangles, a nice viennese waltz

Jorge danced his bit to a mashup of Vogue and Break My Soul

Motsi danced her bit to a dramatic version of No Woman, No Cry

and all together with all the pro's, bit of a paso doble, argentine tango

very enjoyable :clap2:

next week we have a double elimination, there was no elimination this week that's why

and also the discofox marathon!!!!!!

Detlef & Ekat: was a lovely yet undermarked quickstep, he played the genie character well and some impressive lifts as well

Ann-Kathrin & Valentin: HALLELUJAH :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: the evil has been defeated, yet another ''give us nothing'' routine, back to basic and very wooden yet again

Gabriel & Malika: overscored if you ask me, judges seem to favor it for Malika to win this year :suspect: i found it quite a generic viennese waltz and too contemporary for my liking with the waving of his arms

Jana & Vadim: like what Llambi said , this was ''grosses kino'' indeed, just wow and very deserving of perfect 30

Mark & Kathrin: nice samba, also nice opening with Mark singing first few lines of that iconic manilow banger :dance:

Tony & Nastia: quality western paso without ever becoming novelty but pure classy, solid spanish lines too, very gorgeous shapings, these two are consistently delivering good performances

Lulu & Massimo: same as with Gabriel, overmarked, a contemporary dance should be with a load more storytelling, this was just acrobatics jumping around from one place to another :rolleyes:

first of all Tony withdrew due to health issues, he did however perform one last dance with Anastasia :love:

Ann-Kathrin was reinstated back in the competition :oh:

Jana & Vadim: such a beautiful more modern cover of christina aguilera fighter, very powerful routine too, deserving of a perfect 30 for sure

Lulu & Massimo: meh routine, although quite cute tribute to her husband

Gabriel & Malika: tearjerker a la kelly family, tribute to his mom

Mark & Kathrin: A-MA-ZING Singing in the Rain performance, got to know more about Mark now, apparently he became a actor because this was his mom's dream (whom passed away shortly after he was born :bawling: she never got to live that acting dream) really hope he can make the final tbh

Detlef & Ekat: his wife Kate Hall sang during his magic moment AAAH, that was super lovely, the intro was wow, bit of his hiphopping in sync with the backing dancers

Ann-Kathrin & Valentin: this was nice, her personal best i guess, nice tribute to her adventures so far across the world

Jana & Vadim vs Lulu & Massimo; Jana had the highest score there

Detlef & Ekat vs Mark & Kathrin; Detlef had the higher score of the two, i personally didn't find Mark bad just Detlef outdanced him more polished but Mark was more natural for me personally

Gabriel & Malika vs Ann-Kathrin & Valentin: no surprises lol Gabriel ate in the boogie woogie and left no crumbs, Ann-Kathrin so wooden :fan:

Lulu & Massimo were eliminated in bottom two against Ann-Kathrin & Valentin least amount of votes
