This Green co leader and the Plaid leader are awful.

Julie isn't doing a good job again tonight sadly.
Who at ITV really thinks she's the best person to do this.

Raynor is very good in terms of she is patient, not rude, gives people time and is measured

I dont agree with things she says but she comes across so much better than Starmer

She seems to be a nice lady tbh

I agree there.

I also really don't like Stephen Flynn at all, I far preferred Ian Blackford.

That seems too long to me.

It's the leaders of the 4 parties with the most MPs at Westminster.
As long as it's fine separately and not have them yapping at and over each other.

I understand there's likely another programme to be done for the leaders of some of the other Parties.

(info from her husband)

He will look stupid

Starmer has already stated
she would be straight out the door

Yesterday,

Well it was a bit easier for Starmer.
Aberdeenshire North and Moray is hardly going to notice an absence of a Labour candidate :joker:

I totally agree with you on Sunak though.
His judgement is really bad.
Why didn't these people get a third party to place the bets??
Rather than leave themselves identified!!

I just hope the audience is a really interested one and doesn't waste time on more irrelevant and daft prolonged questioning of all the leaders tonight.

I really wish Starmer wouldn't waffle.
He'd be better answering in a shorter way.

Than trying to answer a tricky point then elaborating too long on it.

I know he's over cautious in not wanting to say anything that could lose votes obviously, however he just falls flat mostly.

It will be another more borefest.
For want of the right questions being sacrificed for more irrelevant issues raised.

No more required

Plus postal votes are flooding out being done now from last week.

I think:from conversations with people while canvassing.
Fatigue is setting in as to debates.

A good number weren't impressed with all the debates so far

Plus it's incredible to learn how many, particularly older voters, have already sent off their postal votes.
Plus will be today and tomorrow too.

They're all done finished.
Cannot be changed by anyone or anything.

Unfortunately it's more than likely the gambling issue will be the only probable main thing on this tonight.

This election campaign has been the worst I've seen
Mainly because there's an extra candidate all through who we cannot vote for being presented on like a conveyor belt, namely the OPINION POLLS.

Then the media, TV and press, just avoiding policies for more irrelevant things happening and just looking for confrontation, division and more entertainment than being informative.

I'm glad I'm out canvassing because talking to and listening to people is far better than trying to get any sense from the media overall.
Frankly hoards are done with the election anyhow, as their postal votes are already sent and done now

I doubt there's been an election campaign as badly covered by the media as this one has been

bots
26-06-2024, 07:58 AM
there is a limit to how often the public can listen to things like gambling issues. What the public want to know is how can either party make them feel better without charging us more for the privilege. Neither party has a realistic proposal for short term gains for the public. They are just fed up with the tories, but know labour will be just as bad if they get in.

However, all that being said, i would take the political situation we face over whats coming in America and France any day of the week. That is something we should be thankful for, we will have at least another 5 years of democracy

The immigration issue should be a cross Party policy.

Sunak goes on about Rwanda, that's not in my view the answer.
Plus it's going to be massively costly too.
Even if and I'd doubt it is, that flights will get going.

Starmer has good points, so has Sunak.
However not one is the answer that will work enough in my view.

This presenter is poor too.
She's not up to this at all.
Sunak comes across rude, just talking over even the presenter is not a good look.
Not enough time being devoted to the questions asked.

Starmer should however resist the going off in other directions from the questions asked .

Just being demonstrated again that these debates are virtually pointless.
The presenter couldn't get in to speak even for Sunak talking over her, just ignoring her.
That's rude, really rude.

joeysteele

The generation of people who have never experienced a Labour government is about to get a shock. They're about to find out that they're no different to the government that they've just been slagging off for the past decade.

….for me, Keir Starmer has overall done better in the one on one debates…not because he’s more polished and impressive in his responses etc…but more that Rishi Sunak would make any opponent look good…maybe he thinks that his shouty vibe comes across as passionate but for me, it doesn’t…it just comes across as spoilt and someone who gets annoyed easily at being questioned…it’s Rishi’s way or no way and no other views will be considered…a good PM needs that power of listening too…

The Old Fella's Question
that bbc picked

I actually think as to both Sunak and Starmer.

This was, in a programme trying to get insight to serious issues in the UK and the world.
The most stupid and ridiculous waste of precious minutes to ask such a pathetic question.

I despair really at times the people they choose to be in the audience and the childish nonsensical questions selected to be asked.
10 year olds in my own family would have come up with a better question to ask than this waste of space from this gentleman!!!
