The discussion on the C4 Big Brother forum See this link (http://community.channel4.com/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=162603557&f=8216069011&m=660602111) suggests that for a time the line to evict Cameron was not working.

If this was the case, how did it influence the result in a tight vote

If this is the case, does it not seem od that it delivered the result requested by Graham Norton.

Oh for *beep* sake!

I've heard this time and time again; and it doesn't matter what 'reality TV' show it is.

First off, there are four voting mediums, all of them must work for the vote to be declared LEGAL. The vote is ADJUDICATED by an OUTSIDE body to Endemol, if they decided there was a problem, they would immediately report it to the police.

Second, has the sheer idea that this is:

a) Sour Grapes
b) A popularly employed ploy to get people to dial a specific number
c) The old idea of people bitching something down that they're not happy at by switching to a conspiracy theory.

passed through anyone else's mind?

I can almost assure you that if the vote was fixed, you'd find a very thorough investigation instigated.

Sorry Sticks, but as much as I wanted Jon to stay in the house, one person reporting on the Channel 4 forum that they can't get through to an eviction line does not constitute evidence of fixing.

However, if there is cause for complaint from Tickilites, it's the change in the eviction system this week.
I don't think it's sour grapes to bring that up - if there had been a normal eviction process Jon would have stayed in and that's a fact.

If we haven't learnt by now we will never learn. Its all a fix.

To add to my previous post, also...

The group that adjudicates (or as Four Ventures put it 'Monitors') is an exceptionally well known group called "Electoral Reform Services"

From their website (http://www.erbs.co.uk)

Electoral Reform Services' (ERS) role is to see the fair and impartial conduct of ballots and elections. We have over a century's experience in conducting ballots for a huge range of clients in all areas of society. Elections of all sizes, including electorates of one to well over one million votes, have been administered by ERS.

Their clients include: The Law Society, Institute of Chartered Accountants, General Medical Council, United Nations, DFES, ACAS, House of Lords, European Union, The bulk of the trade unions in the UK, SmithKline Beecham, British Aerospace, IBM, Sainsburys, Forte Hotels, Rugby Football Union, PricewaterhouseCoopers, British Airways, British Airports Authority, BBC, "Brit Awards", RSPCA, National Trust, 26 of The London Boroughs, Nationwide Building Society, Financial Services Authority... Amongst 3,000 other organisations.

One can safely presume they have a lot of experience in the matter, and will not be able to be 'bought' into verifying that a poll is valid, when it's been performed incorrectly.

ERS are probably one of the best groups to trust in such things, ergo, I am more than happy to believe that the eviction poll was taken legally, correctly, and was not 'fixed'.
