….I have a friend who watched Hamnet recently and absolutely loved it and they weren’t sure that it was going to be their taste either…The Bride (I think…)…is released here tomorrow and that’s another of Jessie’s I’m excited to watch, she’s on such a roll atm and so, so well deserved……I'll report back after, yeah I'll definitely watch the bride when it comes out

Hub took away about 14 contractor bags worth of leaves that I'd picked up across the week in both yards. Allegedly we get some rain soon and maybe gusts and so hopefully the last bits will drop soon. We need the rain badly. It's windy here and just a bit too dusty. The pollen is starting to come down so I'm glad I got up MOST of the leaves from Live Oaks this season....

Other than that, I did some software testing (exciting I know), but it was nice to be able to sit still for a minute.

How lovely... I have friends in Galway who I've visited a couple of times and managed to see a bit of the west of Ireland. One of the most beautiful places on earth. Have a wonderful time.

I had a whirlwind (in a good way) day in an unexpected way. I didn't expect to be out so long, but we hit up the donut shop, art store, Target ($150 for husband's medication... thanks Aetna :spin:) and went to the park. Admittedly it was a lot for child, but she did really well but still was over stimulated so I had a lot of interruptions for the rest of the day. We got home and I had to answer a technical email. Despite the distractions and general mental toastiness, I did a good job representing things (with pictures!) I feel as to why certain code should be handled a different way and hopefully made that case...

But I ended the email with "Thanks, <new line: insert other person's name>". So I'm sure they'll get to enjoy that on their end:

Edit: Yeah, still toasted

…that’s a lot but as you said, in a good way to feel as though you got so much done and had some park time out as well…wishing you a more chilled day of de-toasting today, though…and I’m sure they will appreciate your signing off on the email and appreciate that you did still find the energy to reply…

Attended a Lent-course drop-in. I differ in personal philosophy from organised religion in many ways but I still do like to touch base and engage with different slices of the community, even if the internal metaphysics differs privately.

We made some memories so definitely worth it, Ammi. Today it is looking like it is prone to rain outside and child is already asking me for paint supplies. Which is fine, because that's right behind where I need to be  I was up later than I needed to be but I got my office re-cleared.

We had a drought that was ended at least for us over the weekend (woo hoo!). Some areas of TX/LA (not here) are meant to get hail and possible tornados in the next 24 hours or so. Today it's cloudy but it feels like a nice day. I'm just happy it rained, period.

I watered the lawn because we're entering a drought (yay) and so I gave my front lawn a nice drink today. I gave vitamins to my back and it also got a drink but it tends to do much better during a drought. I witnessed a honeybee (rare these days) go crazy for a couple of wildflowers in my yard so I left that area untreated. I am thinking of making a smaller garden box for wildflower seeds.

Fun story, but I ordered an embossing machine (for card) that's not time critical which is coming through Fedex. I checked tracking just now. It is meant to come TX from AZ and somehow how now is in NJ.

Accurate map showing distressing logic:

Now begins to the adventure of seeing if it's my turn for a package to accidentally go outside the country also because I have heard way too many stories of that happening to too many people I know.

…your map made me think of that scene in the movie, Sleepless in Seattle when Sam tells Jonah there are about 26 states between Seattle and Baltimore……I hope that you get your embossing machine ok and soon and the wildflower garden box sounds like a beautiful idea……

Absolutely lashing here this morning, hopefully due to stop soon.

We're going for a drive to Skibbereen in West Cork today to collect a kayak. It's got 2 normal seats and a little child seat for Steve, what summer adventures we will have :hee:

I had to type into DDG AI to tell me what lashing meant in "Irish English" and I see I was right, it was heavy rain.

That's wonderful that you're getting it now as you will have the whole season to enjoy it

It boomeranged back to here and is now just down the road so it will be on time on Sunday, weirdly enough. No telling how many states it actually went through just to move 1 state, though.

I was a little concerned that my web browser had auto-fed in my MIL's address by accident since it was in that direction. I would've been like Oh, well I guess that'll be a 2nd/3rd mother's day gift. I already sent her gift early though our mother's day isn't until May because it takes time to ship if it isn't pre-made. I'm sending her another smaller package soon with some tools needing for her craft cutter I found on deep discount since I got her into that side of crafting by gifting her that machine. So yeah, that would've been funny if she ended up with the emboss machine as a "mistake". She is meant to move to NY from PA in a few months and so doesn't have the proper space yet but eventually an emboss machine might end up on a gift list for her if I think she can actually use it for her projects.
