Today we went to a cheese festival near us (heaven) and there was a tent with animals. In one part of the tent were insects and spiders. There was a tarantula which you could hold. I stood watching all these young kids hold it and then decided to brave it and hold it (I’m terrified of spiders). It was weirdly fine, and the tarantula was so soft and gentle.

Sat in a mother xxxxxxxx queue for nothing.

Going to go outside now and scream for 1 hour

I would happily hold a tarantula instead of that waste of time

Nope....am hoping they release extra dates.

I have been offered a ticket for Wembley but I wanted to take my son....going to go sit in Heaton Park on one of the nights with him and a few friends and listen. Not quite the same but better than nothing

Conor is 3 now, we moved house a couple of months ago and he's now started full time at nursery, he's an absolute ball of energy [emoji23] and also full of cheek but I wouldn't change him for the world.

i've cleared probably 1.6 GB :skull: i went from 688GB to 689GB

i mean FLAC's are too huge in size for me to play them, then the blue light keeps flickering, while MP3's are smaller in size, easier to play, without it constantly loading all the time, also smaller size of whats on there is better for its own SSD i think

an MP3 i have is more like 3 or 4 MB's

I have just mended my corded hedge trimmer that i stupidly chopped the cord in half whilst
up a ladder doing the hedge. Got a reversible in-line connector from eBay for a fiver,
spliced the 2 broken ends stripped back the wires reconnected each side in plugged the
connector together and it now works!. I will cut the hedge at 5.30.

I tried to mend something too. An old pair of black jeans but I made a mess of it. Made the jeans worse.

Just put them back in the cupboard on the landing. I'll probably throw them out at some point. :p :hee:

Met my old director and father of international footballer, friend today. He wanted to go mushroom hunting, and a trip down memory lane to our old haunts.

Fun morning, but it was to wet on the ground to spot anything. Suns out now though, so might go for a few holes.

UPDATE:

I couldn't sleep 1am this morning so decided to have another look at those jeans I was trying to mend.

I was actually trying to stitch in a new zip, and stitch a tear. And I did it successfully this morning, finishing the job at 1.55am. :p :hee:

Yesterday on our Tilly walk we walked past the local allotment that had an open day, so channelling Ben I bought 3 pots of homemade jam, blackberry, blackcurrant and marmalade, a knitted mini hedgehog key ring, and a wooden keyring with a fox on it as Mr C has built himself a new garden shed, he used the old backdoor of the house so we already had the door and the keys but no keyrings... two slices of cherry and almond cake had a go on the tombola won nothing, and we sat and had a coffee listening to a guy playing an accordian which gave the who thing a very French country vibe, it was very lovely

this morning made bacon and egg sarnies, dropped my eldest son back home as he stayed last night, went to Aldi, put out some washing and now going to do a bit of a house clean ...go me

That's more than fair.

Hopefully they're doing as best as possible in a situation like this.

So far done laundry. And currently smoking tomatoes. Going to make a smokey tomato and habanero chutney. Not sure how it’ll turn out.

…it sounds lovely, I’m sure that it will be…

Iv just ironed 14 T-shirts and football tops and 2 fleeces

and the t shirts all had stupid band names and logos so you cant iron the front you have to use a t-towel on top to protect them

I have then all folded them properly to go into a rucksack

:oh:

Worked in the office today, and trains in and back to Bristol were a mission from Wales. Been up since 4am.

Now, just made peanut butter flapjacks and coconut, vanilla and cranberry flapjacks ready to take into the office tomorrow for the McMillan Coffee Morning.

Having my sleepy time tea, and then to bed.

Made a giant breakfast this morning with giant glasses of OJ to get us all perked up. Went to the local crafting chain to pick up a sticky mat because my others are stuck in the postal system being filtered through the Unknown. Legends say, according to the tracker, it's still somewhere out there "in transit"...

Afterwards, I took daughter, unexpected to her, to the playground for some great weather play time. It wasn't as hot as it has been and so it's nice to get out finally.

…yeah, it’s nice to have cooler weather so that you can take little one out without so much worry of the sun rays in their skin…(…and while away the time while you wait for your stuck sticky mats……)…

Went clothes shopping. :omgno:

Normally buy online but needed new office trousers and find it’s better to endure the fresh hell which is the mall and actually try them on.

Rewarded my pain with a bubble tea though.

Woke up at 7am,
Took care of my baby,
Brushed my teeth,
Got ready for the day,
Toasted a bit of a baguette and made an oat latte for breakfast,
Listened to the taskmaster podcast throughout the morning,
Prepared some fresh food for baby - portobello mushroom, carrot, tenderstem broccoli, rice noodles and raspberries,
Cleaned the kitchen floor after baby ate,
Left for in-law's house for lunch,
Ate rice with blackbeans, broccoli and salad,
Worked on a crochet project,
Had an espresso,
Heading home soon.
