Montell & Johannes vs Jamie & Michelle
Judges all saved Montell & Johannes
poor Jamie though :bawling: :bawling: eliminating the better dancers and keeping the duds in (Chris, Pete) :bawling: :bawling:
shame to see MoJo there again undeservedly :bawling:

Celebrating cos the better dancer by far is out! How many times has Montell been in the bottom two again? 4 I think? The public obviously don't want her. Pathetic favouritism.

i mean the ringers like Alexandra Burke, Fleur East whom also are multiple dance off survivors get praised to the gods
poor Montell gets hate on here

Montell is very much deserving to be in the top 6

Strictly should become 100% Jury Votes maybe?
since the public lack good taste anyway
Nicky91

imagine if it were 100% public votes
:umm2:
imagine having
John Sargeant
Ann Widdecombe
Mike Bushell
Sam Quek
as winners then
:umm2: :skull:
also Mystic Mock can criticize eurovision too, but this year juries got it correct, with Switzerland, The Code for me personally one of the best recent winners there, and i adore Nemo, they are really ''quality above quantity'' type of artists, same as the likes of John Mayer for example who i also adore
but then i always have been for professional judges since they have the expertise, the GBP clearly don't

Remove the judges votes and just have them comment.

This. The show is for the viewers entertainment and preferences. The judges shouldn't have the power to repeatedly save someone who's always in the bottom two for example. And every year there is favouritism.
Kate!
24-11-2024, 10:08 AM
And every year the favouritism is for the weakest acts. This year it was Wynne Montell and Pete. 2 of whom are still in the running. It beggars belief.
When we've lost brilliant dancers like Sam and Shayne.

Live.
On Saturday.

yes lazy UK
Germany's RTL has Lets Dance with live results in their liveshows every fridays, until close to midnight
top viewer ratings too, a solid viewer base of between 3.7 and 4.9 million viewers
Nicky91
24-11-2024, 02:10 PM
and that without guest performers, no live orchestra (due to budget cuts)
or well sometimes a DSDS winner performs there, or maybe next year the german act for ESC25 will perform there considering RTL are involved in selection process

Pete & Chris have a big fanbase by looks of it , so I guess one of them will get to the final. I think Montell may be in danger again next week, which isn't fair as she's a great dancer, and I just really like her chemistry with Johannes.
At this stage in the running , I think we've seen all Pete & Chris can give us . good effort from them both . But now the competition should be serious and actually about the best dancing.
So it's definitely ashame Jamie has gone ,as he was a contender for sure .

I can't see Montell getting in the final. She doesn't have the fan base. I'm backing JB now. Love him and Lauren together. They're brilliant.

They actually have chemistry together. It will be interesting to see who is going in the next weeks. Two more dance offs I think.
Maybe Pete and Montell.

She's beat two of my three favourites in the bottom two this series.:fist::joker:
I actually don't mind Montell personally, but it is a disgrace that a contestant who is this unpopular is going through so many bottom two showdowns.

Especially Sam.
And I liked the Switzerland entry as well Nicky, it weren't my personal favourite song from the year, but I did still like it.
My main objection to the entry's "win" was that the public put four songs ahead of it, it's that simple for me.

or is someone close to him, spam voting with thousands of simcards :suspect:
Jamie could've easily won the dance off against him
Wynne could've even easily won the dance off against him at blackpool

I think Pete clearly has a good number of votes in from the public.
From last place at this stage with the judges to not be in the bottom 2 is quite something.
Doesn't matter how many are voting for him, it's down to how many votes whoever is voting for him actually gives him.
I like Pete actually.
I'm probably though backing Sarah now.
After Jamie going, that was really awful him going this week.
I'm really sorry but I don't want to see a Chris win this series.
I do admire his work and efforts on the show but taking that he's blind out of the equation, I don't see that much extra special in his routines, sorry for that.

Nicky91
25-11-2024, 01:18 PM
in terms of the dance off result
Jamie's foxtrot it was beautiful but up against MoJo's quickstep, i also felt they gave it that extra bit of oomph
tbh stand by me is a classic and lovely tune, but nothing really wow you can do with that either
while get happy also a classic tune, but you can do more with that, and MoJo did get everything out of that they could've
i really don't know why Montell isn't liked by more people, she's a fabulous dancer and i personally like her personality, but yeah maybe she plateau'd a little after her fab couples choice routine, also i find her quite a nice allrounder although more a ballroom girl than a latin girl
Nicky91
25-11-2024, 01:20 PM
i guess this was so much bad luck for Jamie this week
a combination of
1) being undermarked, due to high judges expectations for whatever reason
2) a not too standout routine
3) having high vote getters Chris, Pete below you on the leaderboard

Chris and Pete have been at the bottom a lot with the judges, and it's the public that have kept them in, on the other hand Jamie has not been voted for by the public.
Except that he hypothetically could've finished 4th in the vote and because of the leaderboard placing him low on the leaderboard, he then ends up in the bottom two.
The leaderboard this series has manipulated quite a few popular contestants out of the Show that most likely were not in the bottom two in the public vote on the nights that they were eliminated.

Yes that's true. The show is heavily manipulated to get the people they want out.
It really is imo.
Especially this series, it's really noticeable what they're doing to get certain contestants to be eliminated.
Like with Jamie for example they just placed him right near the three most popular contestants on the leaderboard, making it almost impossible for him to avoid the bottom two.
Nicky91
26-11-2024, 08:29 AM
they stitched up Jamie with confusing comments, bottom three of the leaderboard
a not too memorable routine (nothing more Michelle could've done with this music choice honestly)
do think he should've used his couples choice, but apparently he didn't want to, since that isn't an official dance style and he only wanted to do from the latin/ballroom or specialty dances
maybe that didn't sit right with production either

They did the same with Nigel last year. But I suspect Nigel was top two of the vote. So was never in danger of the dance off.

they could've on purposely undermarked Nigel too in a later stage of the competition, if he wasn't forced to withdraw due to injury
they had a lot of expectations for him week by week, while similar to Jamie now i also thought he delivered strong routines
leading up to that too dangerous charleston mary poppins routine where he injured himself, kinda the judges were to blame for that, due to huge expectations

I agree, she gave out some memorable routines imo.
Especially her Jive and Paso dances.
Again with Sam they did some dirty shenanigans on the night she left, knowing that she was probably polling between 5th and 6th in the public vote.
- Stick her just above Chris and Pete on the leaderboard, knowing that they get more votes than her.
- Place Jamie just above her, again knowing that he gets more votes than Sam.
- Put Tasha, JB, and Montell are out of reach, so that she can't catch them.
- Put Shayne a couple of places ahead of her on the leaderboard, knowing that Sam will only be able to beat Shayne by a limited number of places in the public vote.
- Wynne who I suspect normally polled less than Sam in the public vote, being given a gimmicky operatic segment in his routine to draw attention to him, and attention is a good thing to have when there's 10 contestants in the competition.
Basically the production had to do quite a bit to get Sam out, but in fairness she probably was going to genuinely hit the bottom two within the next couple of rounds anyway.
Where as I do think that Jamie was growing a bigger fanbase than what he had at the start of the series, it would've been interesting to see where that would've taken him instead of someone like Montell who is Strictly's version of Katie Waissel at this point.

If the public vote and the Judges have no input you will simply get those with the largest followers get through week after week regardless of their dancing talent.
I mean fan base counts for a lot anyway but without the Judges vote it would be worse.

The judges are just using the leaderboard in this series to remove contestants that might potentially inherit eliminated contestants fans.
They felt threatened in particular by what seemed to be a growing fanbase for Jamie.

Sorry i don't see that, so what you are saying they should have marked Jamie at the top to keep him in.
I think that they shouldn't have been shielding the top three of the leaderboard by deliberating placing Jamie by all of the top three vote getters with the public.
I honestly don't believe that there was really that much of a difference between Jamie, Montell, and Tasha on the night for example.
And tbh I didn't think that JB was that great on the night either.
Basically my point is that the points should've been closer than what they were for Jamie on the night with the leaderboard.
Imo it's absurd that someone that I think was definitely out polling Montell, and I suspect that he was also getting more votes than JB and Tasha, is being sent home when he was possibly the 4th most popular contestant remaining.
